Chapter 3- Being Bold
"Ysabel!" Great, early morning banging and yelling at my door is becoming a tradition. I groaned as I made my way to the door. I going to kill my sister.
"Why are you here so early?" I half yelled at her as soon as I opened the door. She's wearing a backless yellow top and black skinny jeans paired with dark heels. Doesn't she have anything better to do than bother me so early in the morning?
"How'd it go?" She ignored my question and went in my apartment. I rolled my eyes as her and shut the door.
"Sarah, he said its fine. He's over it and he would also like to be friends." I proceeded to the coffee maker and turned it on. Coffee. I needed it badly.
"Great! Do you like him?" Her question caught me off guard. Why is she asking this? I just met him, there's no reason for me to like him. He's a player, I swore I would never date another player. He's also too mysterious, I hate mysterious.
"No!" I said exasperated, she narrowed her eyes at me and I shrugged it off.
"Why not? I think you would be perfect for each other!" She was now clapping her hands. I realized what she's trying to do and I faced her.
"Sarah! Do not play match maker, I beg you. He's not my type at all!" She ran from me and landed on the couch. I can see her mind running a thousand miles per hour. She's planning something.
"Ysa, you're perfect for each other. Seth is looking for a wife and you're looking for a stable relationship. It's a win-win situation." She's already started, should I warn Seth of my sister's schemes?
"Sarah, no. We are not perfect for each other." I tried to protest but it was no use, when Sarah Crest has her mind set on something, she makes sure it gets done.
"Ysa, a month! You've been cooped up here for a month! You need to go out. You know I won't play match maker if you don't need it." She winked at me. What is she trying to do? What is she implying? "You'll like Seth, everybody likes Seth. You know the typical player-good girl lovestory? That's what's going to happen." She then paced back and forth in my living room.
"Sarah! I will not be part of your schemes! I will not date Seth! I most definitely will not like him!" I poured coffee in a mug and started downing it, I didn't care if it burned my tongue.
"See, its already happening. At the start, the girl avoids any kind of contact with the player and she also hates him. See what I'm implying? You're finally getting the happy ending you ever wanted!" She gushed out. Great! Her enthusiasm gave me a migraine.
"Sarah! Stop! I am not those girls in those movies where she falls for the player's charms! Players and I don't get along." I voiced out my words loudly so I can get it through her head that I don't want anything to do with Seth Morgan. Yesterday was a favor. That's it.
"Ysabel! Greg left you! He left you! He didn't consider your say in that decision so clearly, you weren't that important to him!" How did this conversation become a contest of whose voice is louder?
"Sarah, I love you but you know me too well that I don't want to get myself involved in something I don't want to." I tried to reason with her but it was no use, she wasn't listening to me anymore. I sighed and exited the room.
I got in the bathroom and took a shower. I am now in front of my closet, trying to pick a dress when Sarah barged in. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help you prepare, Seth will be here in an hour to take you to lunch." She casually said and tried to pick my most beautiful dresses. Only then did her words sink in.
