Epilogue – Happily Ever After
Six Months Later ...
"Are you ready?" My dad asked for the billionth time today.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I gave him a small smile to reassure him that this is the best decision I've ever made. I returned my gaze to the woman in front of the mirror, and I looked back to the woman I was before. I smiled with satisfaction at my transformation, therapy went well, I earned back Seth's trust, I forgot about Greg.
"Say the word and we walk out of here. I don't want you to regret the moment the ceremony's over." He gave my shoulder a light squeeze and I returned a nod.
"Daddy, he is the best thing that's ever happened to me. With that said, this is the best decision I've ever made. He makes me happy and I love him." I gave him another reassuring smile and he let out a sigh.
"Okay kid." He cleared his throat and pulled me in for a hug when my sister barged in.
"You are wrinkling your dress! Do you know how hard it is to fix this damn dress!" She pried me away from our dad and daddy just laughed at her before exiting the room.
"I'm sorry Sarah." I gave her one big smile and her face softened.
"I told you. You were perfect for each other." She 'unwrinkled' my dress and put on a satisfied smile. "It's time. You sure about this?" She asked and I gave her a nod before she picked up two bouquets. "You look beautiful." Sarah chirped before exiting the room. This is it.
I took one last glance in the mirror before plastering a smile on my face. I can't believe I'm walking down that aisle. The dress fit perfectly, the soft fabric clung to my body like a second skin. The beads made my curves much more noticeable and a little skin wouldn't be too bad, as my sister tells me. I placed the veil over my head and took hold of the bouquet.
I smiled at the sight of my engagement ring. Seth didn't waste time that day six months ago. He proposed after he made love to me and I couldn't have pictured it any other way.
"Ysabel." Daddy peeked inside the room and I know I'm about to walk towards my future. I got out of the room and onto the front of the church. I held onto my father as the doors opened revealing hundreds of people but only one person caught my eye, Seth. I smiled widely as we began to walk.
"Ysabel?" Seth murmured in my ear, my eyes still remained closed as I responded with a 'hmm'.
"Can I ask you something?" He spoke once again." Nervousness filled his tone and that got me perked up, he's never nervous unless he's about to tell me something really important.
I sat up and he rested his head on my lap. "What's wrong?" I asked as I ran my hand through his hair.
"Nothing's wrong. I just can't imagine my life without you." He says with sincerity. I looked at him with a confused expression, where's he getting at?
"Seth, what's wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows and he sat up. He opened a drawer beside the bed before facing me once again.
"Ysabel Crest." He began and my breathing hitched. "You were my friend, my rock, my enemy, the person I could depend on, the person who accepted all my antics, the person who didn't sugar-coat. You are my everything, my life, my happiness. You will be the person who can make the happiest man on earth, the person who will bear my children and the person whom I will depend on for the rest of my life. Mahal na mahal kita." His speech formed an invisible lump in my throat. I don't know what to say.
He held my hand and I knew what was coming next. "I love you so much it hurts. I miss you when we're not together, I miss you when you're not in my arms. I love the way you embarrass yourself in front of me. I love it when you're barely dressed when you open the door. I love all your flaws. I love all your imperfections. I love everything about you." Tears began to form in my eyes.
