Chapter 12- Big Mystery
"Seth?" I peeked to one of the doors I found and still nothing, this must be the fifth door I peeked in and I still couldn't find Seth. How big is his house?
"Looking for me?" His smooth voice startled my very distressed state so I did what any normal human being would do, I jumped. I then found myself on the floor with him towering me. Oh my.
"Y-yes, f-food's r-ready" I stuttered and my cheeks went red from lack of confidence.
"Yum, I am hungry" he said in his seductive tone and I can feel my cheeks getting redder. How can someone sound so sensual and tempting yet he's talking about food. Get a grip!
He pulled me up and made our way back to the kitchen, more like I followed him since I can't find my way back to the kitchen even if it took me the whole day. I was kidding, but his house is so big its easy to get lost.
"So, what have you prepared for us tonight, or this morning Miss Crest?" He asked as he sat down on one of the chairs.
"Er- beef brisket and one of my experiments" I said with all the confidence I could muster, I was nervous, what if he doesn't like my cooking?
"Relax Ysa, we're just eating" I then felt my body relax a bit, I didn't even realize I was sitting so stiff.
"How is it?" I asked as he put a spoonful of rice and beef in his mouth. He let out a moan, and then looked me seriously.
"Its delicious Ysa, how did you learn to cook?" He asked as he devoured the rest of my cooking. I suddenly lost my appetite, not because I didn't want to eat, I somehow found myself full because I knew Seth had eaten something decent. As decent as could be.
"My mom taught me, I was always curious as to what she was doing in the kitchen so I became her student" I shrugged and drank a glass full of water, am I that parched?
"Are you not going to eat?" He asked as he drank his water, he finished everything, down to the last piece of vegetable.
"I'm fine, it looked like you needed it more than I did"I smirked at him and he smirked back, bull's eye. "So, tell me more about this next prospect of yours." I didn't want the night to end so I opened a normal conversation or something close to normal.
"I don't know what to say, as I said, I'll meet her for the first time tomorrow, same as you." He wiped his face with his napkin and stood up to place the dished in the sink.
"Okay then, can I go back to my apartment now?" I glanced at the giant wall close resting above the entrance of the kitchen, its already 3 in the morning.
"What do you mean? I am not going to drive you to your apartment, you" he pointed a finger at me as if to prove a point, "are going to sleep here" he finished and I felt my mouth open a bit. Me, sleep here? I suddenly felt like Cinderella, some maid turned into a princess and live in the palace with his prince. In my case, I'll only stay for a couple of hours and I won't be with the prince, I'm the friend of the prince.
"-have your pick of the rooms"I didn't even notice he was talking to me, I was too busy thinking how it would feel like to live here but I can't, not as his wife, that's for sure.
"Wh-what?" I asked, snapping out of my reverie.
"I said, you can pick which room you want to stay in except my bedroom of course" he smirked at me then wiggled his eyebrows.
I giggled at him, why is he thinking of those kinds of stuff all the time? "Whatever casanova, I'll the first door to the right of the stairs" I shrugged, I didn't even know what the room looked like, I just wanted to sleep.
