It's been 5 months that kj and I have been together. It makes me smile that kj has been his happiest with me, because that's how I feel with him.
It's finally summer and I can't wait to spend it with kj. Last summer, when we weren't dating, were some of the best months for me so I'm excited at how much better these months will go.
I shot a text at kj, since it's been awhile since he left his apartment.

I put my phone down, right as my phone dinged again. Unread message from Charles.
' Woah' I thought. It's been a long time since I've seen or talked to Charles. Actually, the last time I talked to Charles was when kj asked me out.

Hey cams. I haven't seen you in so long, wanna hang?
Charles! Of course.
Perfect let's hangout at our spot.

I started to type right as kj came through the door. I looked up and smiled. "Hey babe" Kj said walking over. "Hey, how was your day?" I replied. "Boring. I'm happy to be back with you" Kj said as he tried to kiss me. "Hold on" I said finishing my text. "Who's so important that you rejected me aye?" Kj said chuckling sadly. "It's just Charles" I said looking back down at my phone.

I looked back up at kj. He had this weird look on his face. "Ok, now you have my full attention." I smiled. "Huh. Didn't know I had to wait until you and Charles had to stop texting so that I could get your attention" I scrunched my face. "Kj I sent a quick text, why's that a problem?" I asked confused. "Forget it" He replied blankly. "No, now that I've noticed, you and Charles have been super distant. What's up with you guys?" I demanded. "Do I have to tell you? It's gonna make it awkward." Kj said rubbing his eyes. "All I want right now is to cuddle with my girl" "You will ok babe, but please explain this first" I reached for his hand. "Fine. But you have to keep this to yourself, no telling anyone, not even lili" Kj moved closer, "K now talk" I replied pressuring him. "The reason I'm so distant in your words with Charles...is because he likes you, like a lot. It's weird to be bestfriends with him if he likes my girlfriend" I sat there in shock. Charles liked me?
"Told you it would be weird" Kj said eyeing me. "Well I didn't expect that" I said defending myself. Was right now the best time to tell kj that Charles had just asked me out to hangout? Probably not, but it would be best to. "You know the reason Charles texted me was to hangout." Kj looked at me and simply said, "No"
"Kage, but why he's still one of my bestfriends!" I said walking to the counter. "Mila, he doesn't look at you the way you look at him though, I don't want him to make a move on you" Kj said wrapping his hands around me. "Plus, you wouldn't be able to go mila" "What do you mean? I'm free tomorrow" I replied arching my eyebrow. Kj opened a stool for the both of us and we sat down.
"Kage, what is it?" I asked worried. "Mila, pack your bags babe, I'm taking you to New Zealand with me" Kj said smiling. I jumped up and hugged him tight, then pulled away to say, "Kage, I love you, and I'd love to go with you!" I said kissing him softly. I hugged him once more. "Surprise"
It felt like an honor to go to kJ's well loved home. It's such a special place to him.
I felt tingles in my stomach at the thought of us together on the beach, splashing water, laughing and having fun. I also couldn't wait to see kJ's family, although I've met them plenty of times before kj and I ever dated. They always wanted us to be together, so telling them that we finally are is going to something important to them. I began to pack all my clothes and necessities. "Oh, hey kage how long are we gonna go for?" I guess I forgot to ask him since I was so excited. "2 weeks" Kj shouted from the living room.
After finishing packing, I did my night routine and jumped into bed. Then a thought lit my mind. I grabbed my phone and texted one last person before going to sleep.
Charles
Hey Charles, sorry it's so late but I'm gonna have to cancel our plans, I'm so sorry, kJ's a bum and told me last minute that we're leaving to NZ tmrw
Oh. It's fine cams, and yea I get it. It's so much more important than us hanging out.
Charles don't say that. I'd love to hangout anytime but you know that kj hasn't gone to NZ in awhile
Yea, I completely understand. Just a little bummed that the one time we can actually hangout, you're leaving:( btw how long are you gonna be gone for?

I suddenly felt a head on my shoulder, kj had been reading our messages. "Ok you guys can stop flirting" Kj said rolling back to his side of the bed. "We're not flirting kage, don't get jealous. I just feel bad canceling our plans" I said giving him a sad face.

"Mila, that heart was not necessary" Kj said rolling his eyes. "It's so obvious he's flirting" "kage, no need to worry, I love you not my bestfriend" I said placing my hand on his cheek. "I love you more mila" Kj said leaning in to kiss me. He bit my lips, making me moan. "Woah woah woah, we need to sleep, or else you'll be exhausted tomorrow" I said giggling. "Fine. But" Kj said before placing his lips back on to mine. He kissed me with lust, as I instinctively ran my hands through his hair. We made out a while longer before he pulled away and said, "I had to do that" we both laughed. Both of our lips were red and plumped from kissing so hard. "I love you so much kage" I said stroking his cheek. "Mila you know you could never love me as much as I love you" "See that's where your wrong" I said scooting back to my side. "I can't wait for tomorrow" Kj said leaning in to kiss me one last time. "Let's go to sleep babe" I said tucking myself back in. I turned my lamp off and snuggled into kj.
What a nice surprise.
