Mission Log: A Couple's Getaway

Zatanna's p.o.v.

Something happened. Ivy and Harley left some time ago after an alarm went off. I just hoped the team was safe. They'd come to find me, sure, but even I had no idea where I was. How were they going to find me when I could be long gone. There was a soft rumbling behind me. I rolled around and faced the wall. Something came through the wall. Or more like someone.

"Zatanna," She squealed. "Don't worry we're getting you out of here,"

M'gann. It was M'gann. I was so happy she found me I forgot about everything else for a moment. She untied me and i hugged her fiercely.

"It's okay now,"She whispered. "I just need you to tell me where they're keeping the other prisoners and who'd behind this,"

My arms dropped and I pulled away from her.

"There aren't any other prisoners," I stated blankly.

"What do you mean? Lots of couple's have been taken in the past months, even Todd was-,"

"I'm the only one left," I spoke so quietly, she couldn't have heard it if it wasn't dead silent around us.

"What? How? What happened?"

"It's Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, they wanted revenge or something after Harley got dumped again, but it's more than that. Ivy has this thing down here and it, it's needs to feed. It's been feeding on the couple's that went missing," I explained. "And Todd,"

"I'll talk to the others, maybe there's still something we can do for them or maybe Ivy lied. I know Todd can be a menance but killing him seems a bit overdue,"

"He's dead, and so are the others," Her eyes darted from mine to the bars behind me.

"I'll contact the team, and tell them you're safe," She said eventually. She closed her eyes and pinced her eyes shut. Nothing seemed to be happening.

"I can't reach them, something is blocking my telephatic powers,"

"Or someone," I voice behind M'gann snarled at us. Harley quinn. "I took the liberty of taking this from Mister J before he kicked me out. Basterd won't know what hit 'm when he finds out. The look he'd have on his voice, oh," She wiped a fake tear off her cheek," Priceless,"

The device was small and looked like a EMP-reader. Harley eagerly pressed the red button on top of it. M'gann immediately grunted in pain and fell unconsiously on my lap.

"Ya know what the beauty of 't all is," Harley smiled. "I Don't even know what this thing does,"

Laughter filled the cell. It bounced off ever wall. While Harley was distracted with herself I finally took the liberty to do something I'd wanted to do since I came down here.

"Esol ssensuoisnoc," I spelled. Her smile fell of her face and she made a small attempt to a pirouette but fell down as soon as she moved. The only thing giving me a clear sign she was still alive was her torso that moved up and down every three second. I turned around and tended to M'gann. Without knowing what Harley had done to her, I couldn't find a proper spell to wake her. Not here. I had to find the rest of the team. The door of the cell was still closed. Harley hadn't been stupid enough to open it unfortunately. But I had my magic now.

"Nepo eht rood," The barred door flung open. I grabbed M'gann's arm and swung it over my shoulder. She was a lot heavier unconsious, than she used to be. I couldn't think of any spell that would lift her or make her walk herself so I pulled her after me as I walked out the cell. I just hoped Ivy wouldn't find us.

Artemis's p.o.v.

If there was one thing I hated it was my teammates leaving me all alone. It made me feel powerless and defeated. Superboy had ran away to find M'gann and the others weren't anywhere to be found. I slowly walked into the same direction Connor had but was very careful not to be seen by anyone who could.
