Skye's P.O.V.

'Both wizards and half bloods must answer the call

And eight travel forth to the island small,

To retrieve what the son of Posiedon holds dear

And here Hades' heir must face his fear

As he takes his final breath,

To be lost or saved by the arms of Death.'

I gasped as the green smoke disappeared. There was a thud and Percy ran forward to help Rachel, who had collapsed on the floor, exhausted by her vision. When she was able to stand, Percy half-carried her over to the door, which I opened and together we stepped forward to see Chiron and the others waiting for us, anxiety clear in their faces.

'So...?' asked Ron cautiously. 'Do we have a quest?'

Percy looked at him and said quietly, 'hell yeah, we have a quest.'

It was half an hour later and we were all sitting on the porch of the Big House.

'Can you repeat the prophecy?' asked Hermione, deep in thought. Percy obliged and Hermione frowned as she did whenever she was trying to solve a particularly difficult problem. 'Well,' she said, 'I think I understand most of it. It's clear that eight of us have to go and that it has to be a mix of wizards and half bloods. Since there are five of us, I assume that we will need three half-bloods, which presumably would be Percy and Annabeth, plus one other. I believe that the 'island small' refers to England, as McGonagall informed me that that is Greyback's last known location. Percy is the son of Posiedon and we are on a mission to save Sally, so it is obviously his mother that he holds dear. Hades' heir I'm not too sure about, but they seem vital to the mission, as half the prophecy is about them.'

'I think it means Nico,' Annabeth said, making my stomach flutter. I frowned to cover my confused feelings towards him as Annabeth continued, 'Nico is the only known half blood son of Hades and therefore technically his heir. Consequently I think he must be the last member of our quest.'

Everyone except me nodded in agreement, but Harry sent me a concerned glance, he still knew how upset I was over Nico.

'Fine, that's sorted then,' said Chiron calmly. 'All that's left is to contact Nico and see if he will consent to undertake this quest. An Iris message would be the ideal action to take I believe. Percy, if you will.'

Percy nodded and made a complicated motion with his hand. A fine mist appeared over the ground, which I assumed Percy had caused with his control over water.

Chiron threw a large cold coin into the mist, not unlike a Galleon, and instead of splashing through like I had expected, the coin vanished into the water. An image rose unbidden into my mind, the veil in the department of mysteries. I shook my head to clear it and concentrated on what was happening within the mist with unease and realised that it was the same as the silvery screen that Chiron had used to contact Percy at Hogwarts. In the screen caused by the mist stood an image of Nico. He was facing away from us and seemed to be staring at the wall of a cave of some sort. Then I realised, he was probably in tartarus or something, maybe he was visiting his dad.

Percy cleared his throat so Nico would know he was there. Nico let out a yelp of surprise and whirled around, trench coat flapping. He dragged a hand accross his face and I saw that his eyes were red and puffy. Nico had been crying.

'What do you want?' he asked, his voice gruff but still trying to be polite.

'Ummmmm,' Percy was unsure, he had also noticed Nico's hurridly wiped away tears.

'Nico di Angelo,' Chiron cut in, 'A prophecy has been made and we believe that half of it concerns you.' At this Nico's jaw dropped and he looked panicked.

'The others are here and we are waiting for your consent to become the eigth member of this quest.'

'What if I don't agree?' asked Nico cautiously.

'Then we will have no hope of saving Sally Jackson' replied Chiron with a grave look.

A miriad of emotions passed accross Nico's face; anger, despair, fear, but eventually he sighed and said, 'I accept the quest.'

'Good,' Chiron nodded, gratitude showing in his eyes. 'Come to camp as soon as you can and I shall relate the prophecy to you. Then you must all prepare to travel to England and begin your quest.'
