Skye's P.O.V.

I pushed all thoughts of Nico out of my mind and called 'Is everyone ready?'

Sounds of affirmation came back from everyone, including Percy and Annabeth, who were looking excited but slightly apprehensive about apparating to Diagon Alley. Ron had described the uncomfortable sensation to them with eagerness and now the two half bloods didn't look as keen as they had done.

After McGonagall had left, Percy and Annabeth had gathered their belongings and packed for a term at school. They had been given some money by the camp, which I explained could be exchanged for wizarding money at Gringotts. We had a quick lunch and were about to leave. Nico hadn't even come to say goodbye. Darn boy, I needed to concentrate on apparating, I didn't want to splinch myself. I grimaced remembering the first time I had managed to apparate.

*Flashback*

We were standing in the main hall, and several coloured hoops had been laid out in front of us. We were here for the fourth time and everyone was feeling mutinous towards the apparition teacher and his three 'D's. Hermione was still the only person to have managed to fully apparate into her hoop. I squeezed my eyes shut, Determination, Destination, Disapparition, or something like that anyway. I spun on the spot and gasped as I experienced the most uncomfortable sensation ever. It felt like I was being squeezed through a rubber tube. Suddenly I felt a searing pain in my right arm. When the hall came back into view I was standing in my hoop, but something was wrong. I looked at my right arm and almost fainted. A huge chunk of flesh had disappeared and my arm was bleeding badly. I resisted the urge to throw up as the teacher made his way over to me. I could hear Draco Malfoy and his group of Slytherins laughing at me, but there was a puff of silver smoke and my arm was whole once again. I spent the rest of the day in the hospital wing for shock, which was boring, but loads of people gave me chocolate, so it wasn't too bad.

I sighed as the memory ended and, grasping Percy and Harry's hands tightly, we dissaparated. When the world reappeared around us, I glanced at Percy and Annabeth, who looked a bit disorientated, but otherwise OK. Percy was checking his surroundings out curiously, whilst Annabeth had started talking to Hermione about English architecture and Hermione seemed genuinely interested. I started forwards and we all trooped into the grimy little pub in front of us.

'What is this place?' asked Percy.

'The Leaky Cauldron' replied Harry, 'Gateway to the wizarding town known as Diagon Alley'. He waved to Tom the Barman, as we stepped out the back, facing a large, brick wall. I tapped the right brick with my wand and the wall formed into an archway. Annabeth and Percy gasped, stepping through with looks of amazement. I smiled and stepped onto the street. I turned to Harry and the others, who were deciding where to go first. All of us needed new robes, so we decided to visit Madam Malkins' and would decide where to go from there later. We practically had to drag Percy and Annabeth down the road, they wanted to stop and look at everything. I knew the feeling though, when my dad had first brought me to Diagon Alley, I went into every single shop, even if I didn't need anything from them.

First though, we visited Gringotts, where we exchanged the American dollars for Galleons, Sickles and Knuts. Percy and Annabeth were fascinated by the Wizarding money and we were just about to leave when we heard someone exclaim 'Muggle money!'

We turned around to see a tall man with balding, ginger hair and glasses striding across the white marble floor towards us. 'Dad!' yelled Ron and Ginny, as Mr. Weasley reached us.

'Why didn't you tell us you were coming to town today?' he asked. 'Your mother will be so glad we've caught you. She's very pleased that you've decided to return to school Ron.' Ron grunted in reply, earning himself a glare from his mother, who had just rounded the corner. Mrs. Weasley pulled us all in for a large hug before stepping back and turning to Percy and Annabeth. Ginny quickly introduced them and Mrs. Weasley said 'Lovely to meet you dears. Minerva said that there would be some guests at Hogwarts this year'.
