Percy's P.O.V.
After dinner, we had some free time, so Annbeth, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Skye and I decided to go chill by the lake. We collapsed on the ground and stretched out in the diminshing sun. 'So', Skye said. 'How does this godly parent thing work?'
'Well basically, we are known as half-bloods or demigods, because one of our parents was a Greek god or goddess. They would have appeared to our mortal parent in human form and uh.. y'know..' I tailed off. Annabeth sighed. 'This means that we are part mortal, part god and have certain attributes of our godly parent.' she explained.
'Yeah, like this!' I called, summoning a huge whirlpool around me, hoping to regain some respect. From the awed looks on their faces, I guessed it worked. I let the water drop back as Annabeth muttered 'Show off'.
'Oh yeah?' I countered, 'You're just jelous wise-girl'.
'So your father's posiedon then?' Asked Hermione and I nodded. The others stared at her and Ron said, 'Hey 'Mione, how did you know that?'
She shrugged, 'I had to do a project on the greek gods when I was in primary school . It's quite fascinating really.'
Ron looked at her oddly and I got the impression that he didn't really find school work fascinating at all. I'm liking this dude more and more. Then he said, 'Well I can proudly say that I know nothing about Greek gods.'
I tuned out as Annabeth gave them all a crash course on greek mythology. 'So do you do much here then?' Harry asked. I gaped at him and then turned to Annabeth who smirked at my open mouth before turning back to the others. I tuned out again as she told them about various quests and the last titan battle, with me occasionally filling in things she forgot. By the end of it, it was their turn to gape. 'Seems like we've both had major battles', Skye mumbled, and then so quietly that I could barely hear her, she added, 'and losses'. The wizards looked majorly depressed again so I tried to change the subject. 'If you guys are staying for the night, then we should probably ask Chiron where you're going to sleep'.
The girls brightened up immediatley as the boys nodded. Annabeth had talked for a while and it was getting dark as we walked over to the big house. Chiron offered them rooms in the house and they accepted. I showed them upstairs and the boys took one room, the girls the other. Skye turned back to me and said, 'We're just going to grab some things from our house, and we'll turn in when we get back, so night'. The others called good night as well and I headed back to my cabin.
