Trent isn't bunking in the same quarters that I am, but I still saw him at lunch and dinner. He seems to be making other friends already, which is understandable. He's a whole person, and so are they. There's actually an astonishingly low amount of imperfects here at the base on Madagascar.
Well, a low amount of obvious imperfects. There are probably a few others like me, who choose to hide their imperfection from Crutch. My reasoning is simple: I'm concerned that if I reveal my imperfection, my chances of getting to Australia will dwindle to nothing. There have been talks of a place called Sanctum, where imperfects are sent for their own safety. No one is allowed to know where it is, lest it become a primary target for another Renewer. Unless Sara gets sent there, I have no interest in going.
That's a tragic thought. What if I avoid Sanctum only to later learn that it's where Sara was sent?
