Chapter 31

Shiro POV

I gently close the door and walk over towards my bed.

"Where have you been" I look over towards Keith who's continues to run his hand through Lance's hair. Lance leans his head into Keith touch like a kitten.

"I couldn't sleep so I wondered around the castle... and stumbled into Pidge's room and stayed there for a little while"

"At least you're safe. Do you know how worried I was? Thank god these two are asleep or..." Keith took a deep breath and sighed before turning back to me "I'm just worried about you, look what they did to you the first time! What happens next? I thought they took you, I was hoping that this was the case and not something worse."

I walk over towards Keith and sit down on the edge of the bed. "Look, I'm fine. I know it's scary here but we'll make it out. Now get some sleep I'll talk to you guys about something big tomorrow."

"Did you just???"

"What?"

"Nothing, Goodnight Shiro."

"Goodnight Keith."

I crawl underneath the blankets. I lay there, waiting for sleep to take me. I don't think it will come tonight. Keith's right, everything that's happen. Out of all of us I should be the one who's scared the most of this place, but I'm not. Even when I was scared, I was too worried about Katie. I push away all my thoughts of what happened as the Champion. I need to stay focused on what's happening now.

Everything is going so fast. I close my eyes and start to dream. Dream of better days and of the future. Dream of going back home. The dream is only an illusion from the reality of everything and I refuse to let the good be a dream too.

I'm startled awake at the sound of an alarm system. There's a thud and a groan coming from Lance "Devil clock, Devil clock!?"

"Attention," Axca said entering the room "paladins please get ready and meet me outside."

She left the room and we got dressed and exit the room. We follow her towards a door before stopping. I know where we are very well.

"Prince Lotor thought it would be best for you all see each other for a short while."

She opened the door and we all rushed in. When we entered we see Pidge sitting on the floor and Lotor on the bed.

We all stood there stunned for a moment except Lotor.

"Now that your all gathered here-"

We didn't listen to him as we share a group hug. We break away and Pidge hugs everyone individually.

"How are you holding up Pidge?" Keith said.

"I'm fine."

"Good." Keith said glaring daggers at Lotor.

Once Pidge finishes the individual hugs, she goes to Lotor. "Now I know you are not all big fans of Lotor, but I want to ask you guys something important. Can we let Lotor into our family?" Pidge says "Look you don't have to give that answer now. Just please think about it. I know this isn't an overnight thing and all can't be forgiven, but please just think about it."

I grab Keith and Lance before they can object. "This is what I wanted to talk about. Don't say no right now we're going to discuss this together first." I whisper to them.

"Fine, but you owe us one" I nod my head in respond and turn my attention back towards them.

We look to see Hunk and Lotor talking and Katie coming towards me. "Thank you" she whispered.

"No problem."

"What happened before we got here?"

"I was talking to Lotor about asking everyone about allowing him in."

"Alright I just want to make sure everything is going alright."

"Worry wart." she scoff crossing her arms.

"Forever and always." I said we burst out laughing.

Everyone turned towards us wondering how we could be laughing. But, we kept on laughing cause that's all we can do.

A lot of graduation stuff come up last minute, but now that everything has settled we can get back to updates!
