Chapter 33

Lotor POV

Another day goes by as the paladins remain here, trapped like animals. When should I set them free? Should I even do so? I could keep them here and have them entertain me. How I love to getting new toys, though some of them are quiet boring if you ask me. So I will free them... eventually.

I walk towards the paladins' room and give a quick knock on the door. An assortment of arguments and groans come from the other side of the door. "Come now paladins there will be plenty of time for sleep later." The door opened a few ticks later with each one fully dressed and ready for the day.

We start our walk to the communication center. An eerie silence fell upon us, as we walked. I want to try to break the silence, but I am not sure how, thankfully Shiro speaks up.

"Hey Lotor where are we going?"

"We are going to the communication center. It would be wise to inform them on how your stay here is going."

"Will Pidge be there?" the blue paladin asks.

"She is already waiting for us at the communication center."

"Okay."

We all remained silent after that. As we walk, I feel glares burning into the back of my skull. I try to talk with Hunk, at least he's a bit friendly towards me. We talk about cutlery and end up on the topic of Galran history. "If you wish, I can have our most skilled teacher to educate you on the history of this great empire." I suggest and Hunk eagerly agrees. "Alright, I will have the lessons arranged accordingly for you."

"What are you planning Lotor?" Keith says interrupting my conversation with Hunk.

"What do you mean?"
"You're not doing this for any other reason then self preservation? I don't buy it, so I'll ask you again. What is your plan? What do you want and what does it have to do with Pidge?"

"Keith" Shiro stated "people can change. You need to trust him."

"No Shiro, it is quite alright. I understand that you do not trust me, I used to be your enemy and now I am your friend."

"Keith give him a chance." Shiro pleads.

"You know he's not the only one who doesn't trust him. Shiro you should be trusting him the least!" Lance spoke up

"Lance, Keith please don't make this any harder. For now can you please cooperate and we can talk about it later."

"Fine." they both sigh as they once again stop talking and follow me. They soon intertwine their hands and relax.

We soon enter the communication center where we are greeted with a smiling Pidge. Her and Shiro are instantly wrapped up in each other's arms. She soon breaks free and heads over to see and hug the rest of the paladins.

"Alright, let us call your brother." I say directed towards Katie and she soon breaks away from everyone. Narti goes up to the panel and prepares for the call. Soon after, we see Matt's face appear in front of us along with Coran's.

"Hello paladins!" Coran states in his cheerful tone "I want to apologize for the princess's behavior I should have tried to stop her." His tone lowered along with his head in shame.

"It's okay Coran, you couldn't have predicted that she'd do that." Shiro responded, the rest of the paladins nodding in agreement.

"Thank you, I'm afraid I'll have to leave the call, food goo doesn't make itself!" Coran said twirling his mustache in between his fingers while walking towards the kitchen. Matt's face instantly fell at the mention of having to eat it.

They went on with the call and talked for hours and hours on end. I had to eventually pry them away so they could eat before going straight to their quarters. I head back towards my room and fall asleep as soon as my body hit the bed.
