Author's Note: Hi! Hate to say it, but Winter will not be an option for the pairing. I HATE writing her, so she will be used sparingly. I just needed a way to introduce Qrow and show how valuable Jay is as an asset, since almost everyone wants his help for things!

Jay stopped at his place, staring at the door slowly. He had previously put it back on its hinges, but the fact that it was now once again hanging outwards proved it's been broken back into. Drawing on his cestus, he crept towards the door wearily, preparing for anything to happen.

Inside, he found nothing, sans his three briefcases. They were laid out next to each other, and the one in the middle was open, smoking slightly. He walked over broken glass to reach them, and breathed a sigh of relief when the briefcase on the left held his money. Clearly, his home had been broken into, and the robbers had taken everything; but when one tried to open his briefcase, the trap sprang on them, and they bid a hasty retreat.

Still, Jay looked around and sighed. 'I can't stay here. My position is compromised, what with the two who found me coming here, and this break-in just proves this location is no longer safe.' He grabbed the briefcase of lien, and readjusted his weapons before approaching his bike. It was a vintage Cruiser, a dark chiseled blue for the most part. However, the hudcaps and studs were a dark royal purple color, accentuating the blue beautifully.

He hopped on the bike, revving it softly. "Hey baby... Hey Prophecy. Been a while since I took you out, huh girl? Well it's time to go now." He whispered, sliding his hood up protectively.

'Time for me to find a new home.'

Jay rode through the city of Vale, tired and annoyed. All the real estate he found was nice, sure, but the price "suddenly" shot up when a Faunus was doing the asking. 'Bigots. The lot of 'em.' Still, Jay trudged on, finally reaching the seedier part of town. He went by what appeared to be a nightclub, before the sound of glass shattering caught his attention.

Jay turned his head to see a man laying on the ground, groaning in pain. He raised his eyebrow, before circling back towards the club, listening to the apparent violence going on inside. He grinned dangerously to himself, before parking his bike next to a black and yellow one and walking towards the doors. 'Now that... sounds like a party.'

Jay stepped through the threshold, before leaning to the side as a grunt flew out past him. He surveyed the damage briefly. The ceiling seemed to be cracked, several tables and chairs destroyed, the bar chipped in several places, and bodies everywhere. The bartender seemed to be cowering behind his bar as two girls, dressed in red & white, seemed to just finish getting soundly beaten by a girl in brown, with flowing blonde locks.

The bartender glanced over at him frantically. "Help! She just barged in here and started destroying things! She's ruining my club!"

Jay raised an eyebrow, looking at the scene languidly. "Want me to call the police?" Jay inquired, watching the bartender pale.

"N-No! Just get rid of her!" He replied.

Before Jay could retort, another voice cut in. "Aww, c'mon Junior, can't a girl have any fun? It's not like I did any real major damage." Jay turned to the speaking blonde girl, just as a section of the ceiling fell to the floor behind her. She had the decency to wince. "Well, besides that."

Junior wailed, rushing back behind his counter. Jay, however, sensing a hostile threat, shifted his feet to lower his center of gravity. Unluckily for him, the girl noticed.

"Woah now, no need for violence! Well, anymore of it. Name's Yang, how about you?" She inquired, putting her hands up to show she was no threat.

"...Shadow." Jay replied, relaxing slightly.

"Well Shadow, let me tell you, I didn't come here to trash his club." At Jay's raised eyebrow, she continued. "No, really! I came looking for info on a certain person, but ol' Junior over there remained tight lipped. Thought if I roughed up his crew he'd... loosen up a lil'."

"Or, you know, maybe, like the first time I told you, I DON'T KNOW SHIT!" Junior bellowed, getting up from behind his bar. He grabbed his weapon, a rocket launcher baseball bat, and pointed at her slowly. "Now, get the hell outta here!"

Jay stuck his arm out in front of Junior, stopping his aggressive actions. "Yang." Yang perked up from her spot, turning towards Jay. "Who is it that you're searching for?"

Yang grinned, grabbing a photo from her cleavage (Jay swore he didn't look) to show to him. "My mother. She left a long time ago and I just wanted to ask her a couple things."

Jay looked at a clear picture of Raven Branwen, and his eyebrows shot up. 'Raven has a daughter? She never mentioned it before.' However, his clear reaction was enough for Yang, as she grabbed onto his shirt and brought there noses together.

"You know her? Do you know where she is? Can you take me there?" Yang asked in a rapid flurry.

"Yes, kinda, and maybe." Jay answered, before brushing Yang's hands off of him. He turned towards Junior, shooting him a look that said 'you'll owe me later', before starting to usher Yang out of the club. "C'mon, if we wanna get there before she moves again we'll have to hurry. She won't stay there long."

Yang smiled at him, before running out of the club to her bike. "Well, hop on! We'll get there quicker this way!"

Jay nodded, before indeed hopping on. He rode Yang several blocks away from the bar, taking several twist and turns before getting off the bike. He walked through several alleyways, Yang following him quickly, excitement slowly giving way to suspicion.

"Hey, are you sure you know where you're going?" Yang asked. At those words, Jay sighed, before turning back to Yang.

"Yes, I do, and sadly it would be away from you. I'm terribly sorry, but Raven would be beside herself if I showed you to her. I hope you understand." Jay smiled in a way that he thought to be disarming, his eyes closing, which made him not see the way Yang's eyes flared. He opened his eyes in time to see Yang's wild right, and instead of letting it hit him, he used his Semblance to bleed into the shadows.

Yang stumbled forward after missing her punch, before looking around angrily. Yang screamed, a hurt, angry sound, before destroying everything in the alley around her. She trudged back to her bike and home to Patch smoldering the whole time about the stupid faunus that tricked her.

'I was so close!' She thought. As she rode, she ignored the tears that glistened behind her into the night.
