Chapter 34: More Arrivals

Author's Note: Okie! It's time to get a little further back into Canon events. Right now we're just at the start of volume 2, and Mercury and Emerald have already taken out Tuskon. I've skipped the food fight because I honestly don't know how to write it, and I might go back to it on a later date! I dunno yet. Until then, just imagine it goes down kinda like in the show, with Nora on the tower, Ren and Jay instead of Ren and Pyrhha, and Weiss filling her role. (Minor note, Jay and Pyrhha never directly square off in the battle). Anyways, on with the show!

*Story Start*

"Trust me, Neptune, these girls are special." Sun cheerily told his partner. "There's this one girl, Blake... She's a Faunus, like me, but she's so serious and allusive..."

Neptune looked at his faraway face and rolled his eyes, nudging Sun lightly with his shoulder. "Yes, I know, not like you've talked about her for the last three days." When Sun rubbed his head sheepishly, he pushed on. "What about the rest of the two teams you met? Anything I should know about, anyone I should hear about?"

Sun seemed to stand in thought, before shrugging. "Not really man. I mean the other Faunus in the group is pretty intense but other than that everyone is cool!"

Neptune just looked at him. "What do you mean by inten-"

"Oh look, We're here!" Sun cut him off. He pushed open the double doors just in time for both men to be splattered by grape juice. Neptune squawked and ran to clean himself, while Sun just laughed, looking into the cafeteria for Blake. He found her in a weird fight with Ren, but before anything else could happen his attention was grabbed by Nora sending Yang skyrocketing. Sun whistled appreciatively, before having to move out of the way as Ms.Goodwitch stormed by.

Before long Jay, Pyrhha, Ren, Nora, Ruby, and Weiss were all suspended in the air. Sun and Glynda both counted the group suspended in the air and seemed a little short. Glynda looked around quickly, but befoer she could find anybody else Yang dropped back through the skylight. As Glynda was dealing with her, Sun had to stifle a laugh as Blake and Jaune seemed to bleed from the shadows, slinking out of the cafeteria past him, Glynda none the wiser.

That is, until Ozpin appeared in front of them.

Jaune and Blake both froze, before a stern glare from Ozpin sent them back inside, heads bowed in emberassament. Glynda seemed to bristle even further, but before anything could be dealed out as a punishment Ozpin spoke. "Leave them be, Glynda." He chatised lightly. "They're just kids blowing off a little steam. No harm done."

Jay and Yang cheered, before being cowed by Weiss and Pyrhha repesctively, and then being ushered out of the cafeteria. The two teams+Sun left in a hurry while trying desperately not to look over their shoulders at Glynda's irate visage. Ozpin layered a hand on her shoulder to placate her, sighing loudly to himself once both teams had moved on.

"They won't have time to be kids for much longer." He dictated sadly.

"Guys why do we have to-"

"SShhhhh! The Bullhead is almost landed!"

"But why are we-"

"Shhhhh! The doors are opening!"

"But I'm just saying-"

"SSSHHHHHHH! SHSHSHSHSHSH!" Weiss jammed her finger into Jay's chest, her other hand coming up to clamp around his list. "Jay, be quiet! We are trying to see who's coming from Atlas to Beacon, and you need to be quiet so we can maintain our cover!"
