Author's Note: Jealous!Weiss?? Not many of you expected that! I kinda had to ignore Jay and Blake's connection and friendship for some time in the story, to focus on Jay's relationship with everyone else maturing. Now that that's done, I can focus on all of them, and all the drama that'll come with it!

"Alright class, we're here." Glynda stated calmly. "Our objective is to collect sap from the trees making up the Emerald Forest, to help out Professor Sprout with her research. I need teams of at least two, one to gather the sap and the other to watch their back while they do. Any objections?" Hearing none, Glynda nodded at the group, trusting them to be able to split amongst themselves easily.

"We're here!" Nora and Jay screamed together. The two hi-fived before bounding off the Bullhead, laughing goofily all the way. However, before they could get far, Nora was snagged by the collar by Ren, effectively stopping her momentum.

"You're coming with me." Ren deadpanned, ignoring Nora's pout.

"But Renny!" Nora whined. "Ms.Goodwitch said teams of two, and me and Jay would be a team of two! C'mon!"

Ren was nonplussed. "While that's true, I think she wanted teams of two that would actually get WORK done, not sit around goofing off and drinking all the sap. As such, you're coming with me." Ignoring the rest of Nora's protest, Ren stalked off, walking to a distant tree.

Now that that was settled, Weiss started to look around for her partner. Blake watched her from the side for awhile, amused, before walking over to her slowly. "You need help finding Jay?" She asked politely.

Weiss started, looking at Blake before the ugly feeling resurfaced. "Why thank you, Blake" she began, "but I think I can find my own partner myself. He couldn't have gotten that far."

"Actually with his Semblance, he can go anywhere super quick right?" Ruby chimed in. "He could be on the whole other side of the forest for all we-" she was cut off as her sister clamped a hand over her face, shooting her a disapproving glare. That glare morphed into a look of disgust after Ruby licked her hand in anger.

Ignoring the now arguing sisters, Weiss turned back to Blake. "I... I guess Ruby has a point." Weiss conceded. "Do you have a way of finding him?"

Blake nodded, before her eyes widened. "Ummm, are you sure you can't find him yourself? I wouldn't wanna impose."

Now Weiss was intrigued. "But you said you had a way of finding him! Why would I waste my time when you can find him now?"

Blake flushed, looking away. "Well yeah, but it's not that simple..."

Weiss shot her an inquisitive look. "Can you get him or not? It would be helpful to know this trick for the future." Blake grumbled something under her breath, causing Weiss to lean in closer. "What was that? I didn't catch that."

"I've never done it in front of other people before..." Blake admitted.

"Well now we gotta see it!" Yang yelled, appearing on the other side and smirking deeply at Blake. "C'mon, show us!"

Weiss glared at Yang, who sported a raunchy grin that spread wider when she noticed Weiss' look. She winked, causing Weiss to look away from her towards Blake once again. However, Blake was looking into the distance, rolling her eyes and biting her lip, before cupping a hand over her mouth.

She yelled into the distance, in a rather sing songy voice:

"When the Cat catches the Canary,
Does she eat it, or think on her Query?"
