Author's Note: I'm so sorry my chapters are so sporadic and uncoordinated! Yes, I am getting through the story of the show, so just have a little faith that I know what I'm doing please! Hopefully this'll all turn out okay in the end. And I'm sorry if me doing Canon in my own order upsets anyone, I just can't specifically remember the order of events happening and I don't feel like going back and watching the show to figure it out. As such, certain parts shall be cut out and/or only included in an omake (because it was more filler then content in the show so I'll make it more filler in my story too.)

That same morning, Jay woke up Nora and Ren a little later. "C'mon guys." He told them. "We're eating in the cafeteria today."

They looked at him confused, before Nora raised her hand. "Why?"

"We're meeting team RYBP and Jaune today." He explained.

They nodded, standing up and getting ready for the day. When Ren finished and noticed Jay still hadn't woken up Weiss, he shot Jay a look.

"I'm gonna let her sleep more." Jay explained. "These last few days have been tiring, and she deserves her rest."

"Unh-huuuuhhhhh. And this doesn't have anything to do with her being mad at you?"

"Quiet Nora!"

"That's what I thought."

Nonetheless, the team (Minus Weiss) went there way to the cafeteria to eventually meet up with Jaune and Team RYBP. When everyone was situated and had food, Jay made his move.

"So guys... Y'know that team from yesterday?" He asked warily.

"The one with Ruby's boyfriend on it?" Yang chuckled.

"YANG!" Ruby punched her sister in the arm.

"Yes, yes that one." Jay continued, ignoring Ruby (as everyone did). "Well, they're all bad news. I don't know what they're planning on the Academy, but it's best to stay away from them."

"And how do you know all this?" Ren asked him. "You wouldn't just be telling us warnings like this for no reason, yet I feel we're missing a vital piece of the puzzle."

"Yeah", Jay began while rubbing the back of his neck, "See the thing is-"

He stopped abruptly, feeling a fresh source of panic. Jay looked around quickly in alarm, before relaxing as a soothing feeling washed over him. He watched Cinder saunter into the cafeteria and felt relief, but earned confusion when she and her team walked up to his table.

"Hello all." She began, earning everyone's attention. "My name is Cinder. These are my friends, Mercury, Emerald, and Neopolitan. Are these seats taken?"

"Nope!" Ruby responding, completely ignoring everything Jay had told her. Jay shot her a glare and she shrunk down, Yang slinging an arm over her shoulder and shooting Jay a heated glare back.

"Neopolitan?" Ren piped up. He looked back at the girl who looked nothing like the Neopolitan Jay had described earlier, and studied her a little too closely. When she waved at him awkwardly, he waved back, ignoring the pointed look Nora was shooting at him.

"You'll have to excuse Polly there." Emerald told them. "A Grimm attack from when she was a kid kinda... messed up her voice a little bit."

"It still works, it's just nasty." Mercury supplied helpfully. "Hiya Ruby." He added afterwards, shooting the girl a smile. Said girl just glared back at him, especially when Yang's arm tightened around her throat as she cooed about how cute "her sister's first boyfriend" was.
