A/N: Hello! Once again, I'm not a big fan of going over the boring things that happened in Canon, like the research portion of the episodes they did to get them to the rally. We all know they did the research, and we all know why they went to the rally, so I feel in a fanfic like this there's no reason to go over that part. Just know without Weiss it was a little bit harder, but not impossible for them to figure the stuff out.

"Yang!" Ruby yelled, watching her sister be driven through a stone pillar. Inside the Paladin, Roman laughed, taking giant steps with the big robot to close the distance between the team and him quicker.

"Blake! Legs! Ruby! Arms! Penny! I dunno what you do but do it!" Jay yelled, holding Sun.

"Got it!" The girls chorused.

Jay watched as the girls went to work on the giant mech. However, Roman pushed a button and the mech spun, throwing the girls off and allowing him to take another step towards Yang.

"Fuck!" Jay cursed, trying to decide if he should leave Sun for Yang or not. 'How did we even get here?' Jay cursed to himself.

*Two hours earlier*

"Come in Blaze. Come in... Shadow is on the line." Jay whispered into his headset.

"This is stupid." He heard in reply from Blake.

"This is Tails, checking in! Tails can here you loud and clear." Sun chimed in on the headset.

"Thank you, Tails! Check in appreciated. Sonic? You on mic? Over." Jay cheered.

"S-Sonic here! Hanging out with Knuckles." Ruby chimed in.

"Knuckles! Knuckles here!" Yang chipped in.

"Why are these the code names?" Blake complained.

"Cause it's funny." Sun said.

"But why do I have to be Vector?" Neptune complained.

"Because it's the water guy and you have a trident." Jay told him.

"Alright everybody, stop talking. The show is starting." Blake said.

Jay nodded, seated in the rafter as he was. He looked up to see several Faunus come out on the stage and start talking. He zoomed in to focus on Blake and Sun, making sure they were in the middle and not being able to be seen from the front. When he zoned back in, Roman Fucking Torchwick was on the stage, pandering to the crowd as the Faunus ate up what he was saying.

"Look alive, gang. Roman Torchwick is in the building." Jay cried.

"What? At a Faunus rally? How is he not being booed out of the building?" Yang complained.

"He's explaining to the Faunus how much he hates human's too. They're eating it up, not gonna lie." Sun replied.

"And I think we need to-"

The sound of glass shattering next to Jay was all the alert he had to Neo appearing in his lap. He looked down in surprise, the girl snuggling in and getting comfortable immediately. Jay recoiled, trying to remove himself from the situation she put him in.

"Ja-Shadow? Everything okay?" Yang asked on the line.

Neo had the audacity to reach up and push his headset, giving him the opportunity to respond. She nodded encouragingly at him to speak. "E-Everything's good up here." Jay stammered. "Stay focused on the mission."
