Author's Note: Jay's Semblance is mysterious. The Shadow Realm is its own place I've made adjacent to the Ruby universe (that's where Salem's Castle is in my mind, cause you can't have somewhere that evolved with such a drastic landscape change without people looking for it or at least getting a feel of it.) As such, the Shadow Realm is where the Grimm are born, and they get sent to the Real Realm by Salem. And the whispers will be explained in this chapter. (And yes I used Pyrrha's speech to unlock Jaune's aura, I think it's a universal speech that everyone in the universe knows to use to unlock aura )

"So you're saying", Pyrrha began, "that Jaune was dying."

"Right." Jay confirmed.

"Because he didn't know what aura was at all?" Yang asked.

"Correct."

"So you used your Semblance on him." This time it was Blake who more like stated what happened.

"Yup."

"Which sent him to a sort of augmented reality where the people try to tempt you with secrets and deals to bring them over to the other side, but since nobody has a corporal body it is just floating voices talking to you?" Weiss.

"Mmmhhmmmm." Jay said.

"And you have no clue where he is, so you have to draw on his aura to piece his body back together and bring him back to us?" Ren deadpanned.

"Y'know, I'm running out of ways to say yes." Jay responded. Ruby giggled, catching everyone's attention and a relieved smile from Jay.

"Seems easy enough. Alright, go get Jauney boy!" Nora yelled, pumping her fist.

"I'm sorry, Ms.Valkyrie, but it is anything but simple." Ozpin interrupted. "Mr.Arc was in an excruciating amount of pain when he went into the... Shadow Realm, as you put it. He may have made a deal without thinking, for fear of his own life."

"Exactly." Jay responded, pointing at Ozpin. "I've been dealing with the whispers my whole life, I know how to ignore them. Jaune is fresh, his first time in the other Realm, and I'm nervous about bringing him back for fear of who -or what- he brings with him."

"But we have to soon!" Ruby yelled. "He's injured! W-We have to save him!"

Yang put his hand on her shoulder calmingly, smiling down at her. "Chill out, Rubes. Remember what Ice Queen said? Nobody had a body over there."

"Exactly! He can't bleed to death without a body!" Nora cut in, in what she thought was helpful.

"And just how do you plan on bringing him back anyways, Mr.Branwen?" Glynda asked politely.

"Same way I sent him in. Lock onto his aura, coat it with mine, and send it back with me. Should be easier than it normally would be to find since I just had a lock on it.

"The only problem is, Jaune won't know how to keep himself together. So his aura will be spread all around, and if I miss a crucial part of his aura, he may be missing a crucial body part. No reason to bring Jaune back if I forgot to grab his brain." Jay mused.

"Which is why we came straight to Ozpin." Blake muttered.

"Right", Jay said, wolf ears twitching to show he heard her. "I need total quiet and peace while I bring him back together, and I thought Ozpin would have a good place for that, plus a good place to get him healed once he's back." Jay told them.

Ozpin nodded. "Well then, I suggest we get started. Glynda, please come with us in case Jaune brings back any unsavory characters."

Glynda nodded, following Jay into the other room. Ozpin turned back to the other 7 students. "I know you are all worried about your friends, but this is a very tense situation. I'd ask you all to go to the auditorium and wait for our arrival... But I don't believe you would actually leave. As such, I shall allow you to come with us. However, you need to be ENTIRELY quiet in the room, as we don't know how hard the process will be for Mr.Branwen. Any questions?"

Ruby's hand went up. "Why does he have the same last name as our Uncle Qrow? Uncle Qrow doesn't have any kids!"

Ozpin chuckled. "Ah, Ms.Rose. I assure you, he will tell you his story when the time is right. But first, let us worry about our friend Mr.Arc, yes?"

Ozpin led them on into the room, seeing Jay with his hands on two places on the bed. Glynda stood behind him protectively, hands on her riding crop and eyes surveying the room carefully.

"Then let's get started." Jay said, seeing Ozpin enter the room.

He raised his hands, reforming the part of Jaune's aura he already had. "I'd advise you not to watch. I will be dragging his aura in piece by piece, as once I latch onto it I will bring it through the Realm into ours. I am his gateway, and as such, not all of him will come together, or peacefully, as the beings on the other side will not agree with losing someone. Please bear with me."

And as such, the process started. The first to appear was Jaune's ribcage, the skin graphing onto it afterward and making Ruby and Nora gag. His left foot appeared whole, while 3 digits on his left hand appeared, in different states of reformation. His left arm was the first body part to fully appear, followed by his left leg. Jay grunted, pulling out the rest of his lower body in one piece, all of it plopping down onto the table loudly, including his clothes. His arms formed next, a small hovering space between his torso and arms where his shoulder would be, and his stomach and waist where his middle will be. Jay tried to pull the middle part of his aura out, but it wouldn't budge, and he shrugged before looking for his shoulders. He pulled them out, then his neck, and slowly grafted his face.

The shape of his face appeared, along with his hair. The skin grafted on, then his eye sockets opened, staring around wildly. His ears formed next, along with his nose, before finally, Jay pulled out his mouth.

But Jaune was screaming. "Yes! Yes yes yes yes! I don't care, I don't care, do it! Just get me home, stop this, it hurts, fix me, do it, please! I just wanna get out of there!" He cried.

Jay froze. He tried to force the rest of Jaune's aura out, immediately, but a small part was held back. His desire. Jay groaned internally before gritting his teeth and pulling it out, feeling the thing holding it back coming out with him. He started, before a small burst from Jaune's stomach sounded and he was pushed back into the wall. His friends looked towards him, Blake and Weiss rushing over to help him.

He looked up groggily, blood flowing softly out of his mouth. He wiped it and looked at Jaune, seeing his stomach perfectly fine. He also looked at the woman next to him, sword held in a reverse grip, the tip pressed against Glynda's throat.

She had on red and silver armor in a desirable fashion. The knee graves led down to old fashion sandals, her legs being bare under her battle skirt. There was a matching red ribbon holding her black sheathe in place, her stomach bare. It led up to a red chest plate with a plunging neckline, with thick shoulder armor leading to black sleeves and red battle gauntlets. She smiled a tight, disarming smile, her long, straight black hair doing nothing to hide the wolf ears on her head, nor the tail wagging behind her softly.

"Fitting that me putting my friend in the Shadow Realm would also lead to me dragging YOU out." Jay spat.

"Hello, Mother."
