Chapter 17: Friendship and Kinship

Author's Note: Last chapter was a doozy! Yes, Astria will be a common character in the story, I may even make her a teacher at some point. Yes, Jaune will still appear in the story, but also a little less then everyone else and a little more cold and dark then his Canon counterpart. And like I said in other stories, this month will have Naruto Mondays, RWBY Wednesdays, and Pokemon Fridays! Now onwards and upwards!

*Story Start*

"Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao-Long, Blake Belladonna, and Pyrrha Nikos. You have all grabbed the white knight piece. From this day forward you will be known as Team RYBP (Rupee), led by team leader, Ms. Ruby Rose."

Jay grinned, clapping loudly as his friends walked across the stage. He turned to look at the fidgeting Weiss, and raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"Weiss? You okay?" Jay asked.

"No! In all the confusion of Jaune almost dying and you and your mother, I completely neglected to grab a relic piece! I don't have a team!" Weiss moaned pitifully.

Jay laughed loudly and heavily, drawing stares from the crowd and making Weiss blush. "You're Insufferable." She growled, arms crossed with a slight pout.

Jay's smile only widened, his ears twitching lightly. "You're Intolerable." He replied.

"Will the next four students please make their way to the stage." Ozpin's voice rang out before they could continue.

Despite Weiss's numerous protest, Jay dragged her onto the stage with the rest of his friends. When she realized she wouldn't be getting out of his grip, she straightened, walking in a more dignified manner to his humor. 'She is definitely a Schnee.'

If Weiss wasn't supposed to be on the stage, Ozpin adapted fairly quickly and accurately. "Jay Branwen, Weiss Schnee, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren. You have all grabbed the black bishop piece, and from this day forward you will be team JWNR (Junior), led by Mr.Jay Branwen."

"WHHHAAAAAATTTTTTTT?!" Was heard eminating from the back.

"Suck it Ma!" Jay responded over the ensuing silence.

At that scream, the crowd laughed, all of them cheering lightly about the new team. Weiss slammed her heel onto Jay's shoe to stop him from showing out and he winced, standing up straighter in response.

"You are now the partner of a Schnee!" Weiss whispered. "Time to start acting like it! First order of business-"

Before she could finish, they walked off the stage, turning to the right. Team RYBP and Team JWNR got they're scrolls and room keys, before walking down the hall next to each other. They ended up in opposing rooms, and once they said goodnight, closed the doors behind each other. Weiss turned towards Jay the moment the door closed and grinned wickedly, causing Ren and Jay to back up.

"Jay, you're getting a haircut."

"What?"

"Yay!"

"Nora!"

"I really don't think this is necessary." Jay complained.

Team JWNR had gotten there room situated, 3 beds spread out evenly (Jay insisted he was happy without a bed, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Instead, Jay had fashioned a special blue hanging chair, fit with a blanket, pillows, and sheets inside.) Next to each bed was one dresser, Jay's being put behind his chair, and under each was a fold out section for any externalities needed. Jay opted for a night stand on the side of his dresser, a small TV sitting on top of it.
