Author's Note: Hey! Aww, poor Yang. Just wanted to say that Jay didn't ride his bike with Yang cause it's harder to ditch someone while riding a bike then it would be to just disappear. He can't make his bike disappear with him. And Yang didn't go back to the club because that night it was late and she wasted time destroying the alley so she wouldn't have made it back in time. And she didn't go back later because she assumed he was just passing through and wouldn't go back to the club after she left (which he did).

Jay woke up groggily, rolling out of his bed. He shook the cogs out slowly, before putting on his new uniform, consisting of black pants, a black shirt, a red tie, and red glasses. 'Junior's real unoriginal, these uniforms suck.' Shrugging to himself, he strapped on his cestus & picked up Twisted Glacier before walking down the stairs into the club.

Since Jay had saved Junior's hide from Yang the other week, Junior had repayed him by letting him stay in the loft above his place (as long as he put his dues in working.)  He wasn't really a bad boss and he gave Jay the option of doing the illegal activities instead of just forcing him into it so Jay thought he was alright.

Jay took his normal position outside the club. For tonight, he was the acting bouncer, and his almost-too-tight shirt showed off his promising muscles. If any civilians tried to chance it and get through the doors around him then he quickly put them down before going back to his post.

For the first 2 hours, he was bored. After the first week of him bouncing the people knew not to try him or else they may not be walking home. The only party goers that got into the club were the ones that were supposed to, and he meant to keep it that way. However, when midnight rolled around, a vast majority of the patrons seemed to exit the club.

Jay,'s first thought was that Junior was closing up early. He closed his eyes and stretched the kinks he developed from standing outside in one spot so long. When he opened them, he was greeted by someone he thought he would never have the "privilege" of meeting, and he couldn't stop the growl that crawled out of his throat.

"Just my luck. Roman-Fucking-Torchwick."

Roman sauntered up to the club while twirling his cane around arrogantly. When he spotted Jay, he grinned widely, before patting his knees mockingly. "Aaaawwwww, did Lil' Junior get a new doggy? C'mere boy, c'mon!"

Jay full out snarled, his lips curling back to reveal his canines. Roman had the decency to look startled. "What the hell did you just call me?" Jay growled.

Roman put his hands out, backing up slowly. "Woah, down boy, down boy! Junior knows I'm here. He's expecting me."

Jay snarled again before relaxing. "Fine. But the girl stays out here."

Roman looked surprised, before looking around. "What girl?" At Jay's disbelieving look, he looked around further, even moving a trash can. "I seriously don't know what you're talking about."

Jay grinned and nodded his head. "She's 3 paces behind you, to the left, eyeing me slightly in suspicion. I'm guessing she has some form of weapon drawn, but her center of gravity is low so I'm guessing she's short, and as such thinks she could rush me before I noticed. Now that I'm calling her out she's moved to the other side of you to see if I was just getting lucky." Jay grinned crookedly, eyes following the invisible girl's movements.

Roman's eyes bulged before he sighed, motioning something behind him. The sound of glass shattered, and the girl appeared, pouting up at Jay cutely.

"Son, how did y'know Neo was here? Or what she was doing?" Roman asked, motioning towards Neo.

Jay touched his nose, chuckling when Roman slapped his forehead. "Right, right, Faunus. And why, pray tell, is she not allowed inside?"

At this Jay shrugged. "Junior asked for you. Not you and your little tag alongs."

Neo bristled, while Roman chuckled. "Ah, a man of rules, loopholes, and decency. Disgusting, but commendable. Neo, you don't mind entertaining our lil puppy, do you?"

Jay growled, but Neo nodded her head slowly, skipping over next to him. She wrapped herself around his arm and smiled winningly causing Jay to roll his eyes and cross his arms to save them from her grasp. Neo pouted, but behaved, spinning her parasol slowly.

"Attagirl Neo!" Roman crooned. "I'll be out in just a tiffy, okay? If you get bored, just throw the dog a bone." He tipped his hat in Jay's direction before sauntering inside. "Junior! You old rat you!" was the last thing Jay heard before the door slammed shut ominously.

Jay looked down at Neo, seeing her look back up at him expectantly. He rolled his eyes before leaning his back onto the wall to ignore her entirely. He heard a shuffle and peaked an eye open to see Neo way closer to his face then he was comfortable with.

He growled lightly and she backed away, allowing him to close his eyes again. The next time, he didn't feel the need to open his eyes, growling when she came close enough for him to detect her presence. This repeated several times, Jay's' patience thinning all the while, until Neo huffed and pouted, slamming her parasol down loudly.

Jay didn't even flinch, internally sighing that she was done. However, the next thing Neo did cause him to freeze. He snatched her hand away from him, pulling her close to him and holding her arm in a vice like grip.

"Don't. Touch. My ears." Jay snarled, strong enough for Neo to flinch. However, her smirk came back quickly, and her other hand came up to rub on his ears again. Jay snatched that hand too before holding both together in his chest with one hand and the other used to spin them around to pin her to the wall lightly.

"What the fuck did I just say?!" He bellowed, grip tightening.

Instead of anger or pain on her face as he expected, Neo seemed to get an almost sultry look. Quicker then he could react she leaned up and captured his lips with hers, taking advantage of his surprise to work her fingers through his hair.

He pulled back, allowing Neo to work her way out from under him and dodge the swipe Jay aimed at her head. However, before he could retaliate any further, Roman and Junior appeared, Junior stuffing cash into his pocket.

"Alright Jay, your shift is up." Junior said, nodding at Jay. Jay nodded back slowly, before glaring clear death at both Roman and Neo.

"Awww, did the doggy not get his treat?" Roman cooed, patting his knees mockingly.

"...she kissed me." Jay admitted, still staring daggers at her. Neo, in turn, blew a kiss back his way, her Cheshire grin spreading as Roman started to laugh.

"Well damn Neo, when I told you to throw him a bone, I didn't know you would actually do it! Kid, you better feel lucky that Neo wants to play with you."

Jay grimaced. "Yeah, no thanks. I'll stick to, just, y'know, NOT doing that."

"Keep telling yourself that kid." Roman laughed. "Neo knows where you're staying now, so she'll find you if she wants. Anyways, pleasure doing business with you Junior! See you around, puppy. C'mon Neo."

They swaggered off, Neo waving at Jay prettily before she went. Jay turned to Junior and saw he already had his hand out for Jay to drop his key into.

Jay handed it over with a grimace. "Thanks, man. I'll still work here, but now I expect a paycheck! I'll clear out later. And I'll be back for my bike soon, I think." Not waiting for Junior to respond, he turned around and took a couple steps, before using his semblance to fade into the night.

'God I love doing that.'
