You sat sitting confiding to you mom about the recent information you found out. Surprisingly your mother was not upset with you, but you were upset with yourself. How could this happen? "Mom I'm nineteen, I can't be having a baby!" You cried into your mom's shoulder.

For a few days you have been feeling sick, throwing up while feeling nauseous all day. You told your mom about how you were feeling and she urged you to take a pregnancy test. You told her that you couldn't have been pregnant. But turns out you were wrong. You are pregnant.

You and your boyfriend of two years, Shawn, were currently spending the weekend at your parents place. Shawn was taking your younger brother, Micheal, to ice hockey practice. You were so lost and confused to why this was happening to you.

This wasn't the plan. Sure, you wanted Shawn to be the father of your children. But you were expecting this to happen later in life, way later in life. When Shawn's career slowed down, and when yours was in the middle of it. But this is not what was happening. You are not even married yet!

"Things don't go the way you want them to. Ever. Sure, this wasn't your plan, love. But this will work out. You have to go talk to him." Your mom said running her fingers through your hair. You wanted to talk to him. Shawn was the love of your life you had to find a way to talk to him.

Shawn would be so understanding, he wouldn't be sad about the fact of a baby. But you were worried about the fact that you two were so young. This would be bad publicity for him and his career. Knowing Shawn, he would probably cancel his up and coming tour for you.

"I can't." You said sitting up. You continued to wipe your eyes of tears that fell. Your mom looked at you with concern. She knew that you and Shawn would end up getting married and having a family. But she didn't know that the having a family part would come before the marriage, and frankly you didn't either.

"Why not, honey?" Your mom asked. You sighed, trying to think of an excuse to not tell Shawn but nothing was coming to your mind.

"I don't know, he is just. I don't know."  You sighed placing your head into your hands. It was not the fact of, telling Shawn. It was the idea of having a baby with him, at the age of nineteen. You were most definitely not ready. But Shawn was not ready either, he was at the top of his career.

After about another twenty minutes of confining to your mother, you went up to your room to relax. You walked up the steps to your room, noticing that your room light was on. But you remember turning it off after you left. You walked in anyway, as you saw Shawn sitting on the bed with his head in his hands.

He looked up at you, his eyes softened when he noticed your teary ones. "You're back." You mumbled walking up to him. He seemed tense when you hugged him, but you decided to ignore it.

He couldn't get his eyes off of you, he was acting off and so were you. You and Shawn both decided to lay down on the bed and just relax. His arm was around your waist, holding you tightly. Your head was rested on the top of his chest. You could hear his heartbeat, it was beating rapidly, he was nervous.

"I didn't mean to listen in on your conversation with your mom." Shawn spoke. You lifted your head from his chest to look down at him. "You weren't supposed to hear that." You murmured. He looked at  you for a moment.

He watched as your cheeks were lightly discolored. Your eyes looked less vibrant, the color of them seemed more dull. Your lips were chapped from the cold from outside.

"Are we having a baby?" Shawn asked, cautiously. He was more excited than he thought he was going to be. At first it came to him as a shock, nineteen years old and having a baby. But he always wanted kids.
