chapter 14: I'M READY

Father and I made my way to his office in silence but not awkward silence. I was still wearing my outfit from the cup it was now teared apart or burnt, but thats ok I know my magic. We arrived to to the statue that leads to the office.
"Lemon drops." Whispered Father and the statue moved and showing the round staircase. We went up the stairs and arrived to his office and entered.
"Father what is this all about?" I asked him as he moved to his office.
"I actually thinking of an idea and I wanted to see if you were ready." I nodded and looked at him a bit hesitant. "And seeing how you handled the attack and managed to escape. I think your ready."
"Ready for what?" I asked him went my voice a bit high pitched.
"I'm going to make a coronation of the prince and princess of Hogwarts." I went wide eyes. Where is he going with this.
"You still didn't answer my question father." I still didn't understand why I he his asking me that question.
"Alex I saying that you will be the princess of Hogwarts." I was still confused and didn't know what he is talking about. How can I be a Princess and of Hogwarts. What will I do? How will I do it?
"Is this part of my training?" He nodded and looking at me will his twinkles eyes.
"I know your confused as to why are chosen but it is because I know you can be responsible and that is why I am doing this." So he's practically giving me the key to the school.
"Father are you sure I can even do this." He smiled at me in a warm way and led me to a portrait which showed past headmasters before my father.

"Those headmasters went through this as part of their training as did I." I looked at him to see him looking at me with hope. I nodded my head with a sigh.
"Ok Father. If you say I'm ready than I'm ready." He smiled proudly at me and hugged me."When is the coronation be?" He smiled and walked down the stairs leading to him office.
"During the welcome back feast in front of all the students. You will be sitting next to be that day. The prince shall be a surprise." I wonder who the prince will be? I know he won't tell me.
"Well than I'll go find the boys and make sure their comfortable." He nodded and I exited the office.
*WITH THE BOYS*
"Hey guys." I say as I enter my common room. Yes I have my own common room and my own room. It's like I'm one of the prefects or a headgirl except my dorm had numbers of dorm for the boys. Apparently father wants to boys to stick with me but I don't mind though.
"Hey girl." Greeted Emily excitedly she was so hyper it was like someone gave her 10 bars of chocolate and he ate it all and trust me a hyper Emily is scary than when she's angry.
"Ok who gave her chocolate." I eyed the boys who all looked at me and shook their heads saying they didn't do anything. I shrugged and sat on one of the couches.
"So this is all yours." I nodded
"My room is over there." I pointed at the staircase that leads to my room. They nodded.
"Did Auntie Minerva show you guys to your rooms." they nodded.
"Yes. Sam and I in one room." Said Emily on Sam's lap causing the boys to groan and I laugh.
"Don't worry I put a sound proof charm on their room." I reassured the boys who gave me thankful smiled.
"I'm bunking with Quil and Embry." Said Jake patting Quil and Embry on the back.
"And I'm bunking with Paul." Jared playfully groaned causing Paul to glare at him.
"I should tell you guys the staircase that leads to my room is charmed so no boys or man can climb them. Only you guys and my dad can climb them." I warmed them.
"Why?" They all asked.
"You'd be surprised what happens in this castle." they all snickered at that. I than pointed at the boys with no girl friends who are Jake and Embry. "Ok you two just a warning all the girls staircase are charmed so no boys can sneak up there." Embry groaned while Jake shrugged probably thinking about Bella.
"What did your dad want to talk to you about." Asked Sam who was sitting on the love seat with Emily. I guess I'll tell them since their my best friends and don't go to this school.
"He want to do a coronation." I just said wanting to surprise them a bit.
"A coronation?"  They all asked. I nodded.
"Apparently theirs this tradition in Hogwarts where their is a prince and princess and they represent the school in some way. One of them is the heir of Hogwarts." I didn't tell them about me being the heir of Hogwarts. I never thought that it was ever needed to me mentioned.
"Do you know who they are?" I nodded at Paul.
"I know who the princess will be since your looking at her." All the jaws int the room dropped and eyes went wide.
"So your may be the air of Hogwarts." Asked Jared in a while and was the first one to talk in everyone in the room.
"Oh no I know I'm the heir of Hogwarts. Apparently it shows during birth and I was born in this school and as my father says the school chose me." They all were shocked and trying to process all of this.
"So what happens to you?" Asked Sam snuggling with Emily.
"I become the headmistress of the school. When my father steps down I take over." Some nodded and some were still confused. I sigh and look at the fire thinking about being a Princess of Hogwarts and taking a few responsibilities in the school. Am I ready? I mean yes I have solve a few problem but I don't feel like I'm ready for a big step like this. Will everyone in school treat me differently than they already do? Will I be hated or loves? I don't know.
"You seem a bit hesitant though." Pointed out Jared who was sitting next to me on my right with Jake on my left with Everyone else sitting in front of us. I sighed and looked straight in the dancing in front of me.
"It's just that I feel like I'm not ready and my father says I am. This isn't just a title for me. It's a responsibility. The students who are my peer will look up to me just the way look up to my father. And I just feel...." I trailed off but just let out a sigh.
"You feel pressured." Emily finished my sentence and I nodded at her. Paul and Jared place a reassuring hand on my leg.
"Don't worry about it though." Said Quil
"Yeah I mean your dad wouldn't do this unless he was sure that you were ready." agreed Sam.
"And when was your father ever wrong." I nodded at my cousin and looked at them. I sigh and place my head on Jared's shoulder as they all reassured me that I would be ok with them. Jake's right though knowing my father when has he ever been wrong. Maybe I'm ready after all. I will just need the support from by friends and family and my mystery prince. I wonder who he is?
"Do you know the prince will be?" asked Emily. I shook my head at them.
"Father says it's a surprise." I said still leaning my head on Jared's shoulder.
"We'll only find out than." Said Embry and we all nodded at him.
"The cornination will be during the welcome back feast tomorrow evening." They all nodded and I just sighed. Lets hope everything goes well and nothing happens.
