Chapter 31: Underwater

I didn't know what what was going on all I know was that I was underwater waiting to be saved by Harry. I hopped he figured out a way to breathe underwater. I don't know what will happen if I stay here more than an hour. I know I'm underwater but my eyes are closed waiting to be safe.

Harry's P.O.V
I was looking around with Ron for Alex and Hermione they were no where in sight. Neville was walking with us since he's helping me breathe underwater by giving me a plant or something. I can take anything that was given to me.

Embry's P.o.v
I can't believe Alex agreed to this. This is a bad idea. I have a feeling something bad might happen. I really hope that Harry guy saves her in time because god knows what happens if an hour passes and Alex isn't on land.
"Dude she's going to be ok." Paul assured me.
"How do you know that?" I growled.
"Her father wouldn't send her down there unless he knows she's going to make it out alive with or without Harry." He said and i nodded as I saw Harry, Ron, and a weird looking boy arrived.
"Have you seem Hermione or Alex?" Harry asked us and we shook our heads since the champions can't know who their treasure is.
"Are you ready?" I asked him and he nodded nervously making me feel nervous.
"Do you have a way to breathe underwater?" Paul asked Harry who looked at the boy.
"Yeah here just put it in your mouth before you enter." He said.
"Are you sure this is going to last?" Harry asked.
"Oh yeah it lasts an hour give or take a few." He said and my eyes widen once he said give or take.
"What but I thought this was going to last an hour Neville." Harry shouted.
"I'm sorry I wanted to help." Neville defended.
"It's alright at least I got something." He said just than that weird professor cleared his throat.
"C'mon Harry it's time." I said glaring at the professor behind him.
"All Champions line up by the lake." Dumdledore shouted. "Everyone please SILENT." He shouted as everyone quiet down.
"Now each champion has had something taken from them something very special if they retrieve their treasure before one hour will win this task. Now contestants get ready."
"Harry put it in your mouth." the professor whispered to Harry who putted the wierd thing in his mouth and tried to swallow as he was trying to swallow the tournament began and he was pushed into the lake. We all tried to look down and see where they are. I saw Harry struggling until he jumped up and appeared with gills and a weird fish fin.
"Gosh I hope he finds her." I murmured.
"He will." Sam said.

Alex's P.O.V
I was waiting under the black lake with Hermione, Cho, and Gabrielle. I wonder if they feel what I feel. I can only hear my own thoughts. I swear this is the longest our I've been in and i take Divination. I then hear rustling what is going on.

Harry's P.O.V
I found Cho, Hermione, Flure's sister, and Alex tied up and i was going to save Alex or Hermione. I got my answer when i saw Cedric take Cho and point at him watch telling me to hurry up and I nodded and began rustling through Alex's chain I than tried to go to Hermione but I was surrounded by Mermaid.
"But she's my friend too." I said.
"Just one." They growled and vanished as a shark came and but hermione's chain before pulling her up. I then realized it was Krum. I then went back to ALex but then I saw it was no use saw I used a spell to open her chains then I looked at Gaberelle and realized Flure didn't make it though the grindalows so I did a spell on her chain and took her as I was swimming on surface a grindalow got a hold of my foot making me struggle. I somehow managed to push Alex and Gabrelle towards the surface.

Alex's P.O.V
I reached the surface and saw Gabrelle struggling to stay in up. I helped her towards the deck where Fleur was calling for her. After I made sure Gabrelle was safe I was pulled up by Paul and Embry. Embry pulled me in a tight hug which I was happy about because of his body heat. I was basically shivering as they wrapped a towel around me.
"Wheres Harry?" I asked out load. I looked at my dad worriedly and looked towards the sea.
"HARRY!" I screamed. "HARRY!!!!." I then took off my towel and jumped into the lake.
"ALEX NO." Embry shouted by i was already in he lake. I started swimming down and saw Harry struggling to get out of the Grindilow. I pulled out my wand and set a light spell making them run away. I pulled him up because he was starting to loose consciousness. I breathed in the air as I surfaced and pulled Harry in with me.
"Help me pull him up." I ordered the boys as they came to me. I handed them Harry as Embry came to me and pulled me up wrapping me in a warm towel again and holding me tight.
"Are you crazy don't you ever do that again." He whispered in my ears before hugging me tightly.
"I'm sorry." I said as he pulled me to where Harry was as he was gaining consciousness.
"Harry." I breathed pulling him into a hug.
"Alex. Alex." He quickly said and I quickly released him.
"I'm glad your ok." I said happily.
"I came in last Alex." He grumbled.
"Before Fleur she couldn't get passed the Grindilows." Hermione told him and I Gave him my towel When i saw him shivering.
"What about you?" He asked me.
"I'm alright." I said and walked towards Embry who kept me warm.
"Attention everyone the results are in. In first place coming in and saving Ms. Chang Mr. Diggory." I clapped for Cedric.
"And in second place and this was a decision by the judges since he not only saved his own treasure but another we give Second place to Mr. Potter." Father said and I cheered before hugging Embry tightly. Harry made it in second place.
