Chapter 35; the third task

After we all rested up Emily, auntie Minerva and I got ready with the boys getting ready as well. I was sitting in the vanity and looking in the mirror as I was doing my make-up.
"Are you alright dear?" Auntie Minerva asked appearing behind me.
"I have a bad feeling Aunite." I said asked she placed a comforting had on my shoulder giving me a sad smile.
"Whatever happens you'll know what to do." she said taking my hair brush and brushing my hair. "Do you know what your outfit will be?" she asks and I looked at her.
"I think I want to do it simple tonight." I said standing up and looking at the clothes.
"So a short dress?" She asked and I nodded and pulled out a dress that chose for tonight.
"This ones perfect." I said and started to undress myself and Auntie Minerva helped me get dressed. I stood in front of the angle mirror as Auntie Minerva started to zip me up.
"Do you think I'm letting you down?" I asked her.
"No why would you think that?" She asked and she went back to the doing me outfit. I turned to her and looked at her. Emily stood not too far from behind us.
"I mean all of this and raising me along with all the students." I said and she looked at me like i was crazy.
"Well dear I didn't really have a choice. I didn't have a family at the time and I could't have asked it any other way I mean if your father didn't offer me a home here than I wouldn't have gone through this whole new adventures that we're going through right now. I know that this is making you grow up fast but in the end it will be worth it." Auntie Minerva said and I smiled and her and hugged her.
"I'm glad your with me through this." I said and she hugged me and I hugger her back.
"Alex you look amazing." Emily said.
"Thanks Em. So do you." I said gesturing to the outfit the she picked out.
"Well I'll see you girls out there." Auntie Minerva said leaving the room. I Looked at myself in the mirror with Emily behind me.
"How are you feeling?" Emily asked and I sighed before turning to her.
"Nervous." I said letting out a heavy sigh.
"It'll be alright." she said taking a hold of my hand.
"I know this year is suppose to be a different year but i just can't wait for it to be over." I said and she pulled me in a hug.
"At this point I don't even know what to say." She said and I nodded.
"Sometimes all you need is a hug." I said and she nodded and hugged me tightly.
"Hey guys we gotta hurry up before we..." Said the voice of Sam as he entered the room but stopped when he saw us he stopped and looked at us. Then he walked to us and we hand a group hug.
"I don't care at this point." He said and I sighed as we all hugged together.
"Lets get this over with." I said and I walked out of the room and entered my fathers office where Jared, Paul, Jacoub, and Embry they all turned to us.
"You look great babe." Embry said walking up to me taking me hand.
"Thanks Embry. You all look great." I said looking at them and they all smiled at me.
"At this point I want to go back to LAa push and never come back." I said and they all nodded agreeing with me.
"It's been a hectic year." Paul said patting me on the back. I nodded and we walked to where the maze was.

Once we arrived I was looking for Auntie Minerva or my father or Harry and Cedric to talk to them.
"Where are they?" I asked Embry and he Shrugged.
"Alex theres your brother." Paul said and I looked at the where he pointed at and I saw Harry walking out with father. I ran over to them.
"Harry."  I called and he smiled at me.
"I was wondering where you went." he said hugging me.
"Father can I talk to him please." I asked my father politely who nodded and walked away.
"Listen I know you must be freaking out but all you need to do at this point is win alright?" I said and he nodded silently.
"And id you this anything strange is going to happen just rub this." I said handing him the coin. "I charmed it to me a port key. Now it can only become a port key for you and only you ok so use it wisely."  I said and he nodded and I pulled him in to a hug.
"Thanks Alex." He whispered and I kissed his cheeks.
"Be careful." I said pulling away before walking to Cedric who was with his father.
"Excuse me." I cutted in and they all turned to me. "Can I talk to you Ced?" I asked and he nodded walking towards me.
"Guys." blaise said coming in.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Came to with Ced good luck." He said and I nodded and we turned to him.
"Be careful out there alright." I said to him and he nodded.
"I'll make it out of there alive ok and then we'll celebrate just the three of us." he said placing a hand on both of our shoulders and we both looked at him.
"Good luck." I said hugging him and he hugged back tightly pulling Blaise in the hug.
"You two are my best friends. I love the both of you." He said and I could feel the tears building up.
"C'mon guys it's about to start." Blaise said and we pulled away as Blaise wrapped an arm around my shoulder as we looked at Cedric walk to his father.
"He'll be alright Alex. Don't worry." Blaise assured me and I smiled at him.
"Are you staying here?" I said him and he nodded.
"I want to be here but he's done." He sighs and I nodded and we walked to the boys.
"And now it time for the final task." My father started and everyone started to cheer. I smiled the fake smile up at everyone as Embry pulled me close.
"And now entering the maze first in tied for first place then are Cedric Diggory." He said and everyone cheered for him as his father raise his arm in the arm and he embarrassingly puts it down.
"And Harry Potter." He shouted Harry's name who got equal amount of cheers.
"then will be followed by Victor Krum and Fluer Delecure." He said and everyone front there own schools cheered.
"The task will begin after Mr. Flitch bangs the..." I said and Mr. Flitch already signaled the task to begin and I close my eyes watching Harry and Cedric the maze.
"They'll be ok." Embry whispered and I smiled at him placing my head on his shoulder.
"I know." I whispered.
"Do you trust them?" He asked.
"No just a hopeful theory." I said looking up at him smiling and he kissed me softly.
"When this is over and we're back in La Push we're going out on a date." He said and I nodded smiling at him.
"I'd like that." I said wrapping my arms around his neck and he placed his hands on my waist.
"I know you would." He smiled and I hugged him moving my hand to his hips. That was when a red light shot up in the air.
"Someone of the champions needs to be taken out." I said and I felt Embry pull me close. Turns out Fleur was found and taken out of the maze. We waited and waited until Krum was brought from the Maze and we were waiting for either Cedric or Harry to come out. Suddenly I felt pain going on my head. I started rubbing my forehead from the pain. I started to grunt in pain making Embry look down at me.
"You alright?" He asked worried.
"I don't know my heads starting to hurt real bad and not a normal headache." I said and then suddenly my entire body was in pain making me fall from Embry's arm and on the ground.
"AHH." I shouted making everyone in the stadium turn to me. I laid there in pain as my father, the pack,and Emily surrounded me.
"What's going on?" Embry shouted.
"Is he ok?" Sam asked.
"Guys give her room." Paul shouted.
"Something's happening in the maze." Father said looking at the maze. I suddenly shouted and my arm was shaking as the pain increased.
"Look at her arm." Auntie Minerva said and they all looked at the cut that suddenly formed on my arm. I stopped screaming and looked around me.
"What just happened?" I asked looking around.
"Your connection with Harry." Father said and I looked at the maze.
"Something's happening." I said and just as I said that a zap sound came on and we turned to see Harry and Cedric on the ground everyone started to cheer except us. Harry was laying over Cedric who wasn't moving at all. I heard a scream come up and we all looked to see a dead Cedric.
"No." I whispered going up to Harry and Cedric. Cedric's eyes were wide open. "Who did this?" I whispered to him.
"Harry how did this happen?" Father asked.
"He's back. Voltimort he's back. Cedric told me to bring his body I couldn't leave him not there." Harry said and I was in shock. I looked at my father and he had a scared look in his face.
"Albus whats going on?" Fudge asked behind him.
"There a boy that that was murdered tonight." Albus said.
"Well lets take the body away from the scene or else the prophet will have a field day." he said and I was in shock.
"I think they'll find out eventually." I stated and they all looked at me knowing I was right. I had tears streaming down my face looking at Cedric's body.
"I should have given him the coin as well." I cried.
"We didn't use it." Harry said and I look at him.
"You faced him." I questioned and he nodded and i looked at his face. I took a hold of his face and looked at his face. His face had a lot of cuts.
"Harry can I look at your arm." I asked and he pulls how his arm that has the same cut that I got. I thought of for a moment and looked around.
"Where's Moody?" I asked looking around.
"He left hours ago." Snape said and I looked at my father.
"Guys what do you smell when he's around?" I asked Embry
"Something rotten." Sam said and I though for a bit and I got up and looked at Snape.
"You have it." I asked and he pulled out a truth telling potion.
"C'mon." I said and we went to Moody's room and the boys broke the door as Snape made him drink the truth telling potion.
"Ask him." I told my father.
"Are you really Alester Moody." HE asked.
"No." He shouted
"Are you Barty Crouch Junior." My father asked
"Yes."
"Wheres the real Alester Moody." Dad asked and His eyes went to a giant chest by his room. I pointed my wand at the chest and it opened revealing the real mad eye. Well this was some night.
