chapter 28: Yule ball

Tonight was the yule Ball and i was getting ready with the help of emily. The girls were in their dorms getting ready for tonight and i was so excited to see their outfits.
"Your going to look so hot tonight Embry will not be able to get his hands off you." Emily gushed and i blushed.
"Thanks Emily though i don't think i should be going. I mean after the whole Draco thing. What if he shows up with her." I asked Emily and she looked at me through the mirror.
"I know this is your first break up but don't worry. You love Embry right?" She asked me and i nodded at her looking at her reflection through the mirror.
"Than that should't matter now." She advised me finishing up my hair. "Now lets get you in that dress so you can go down to Embry." She said handing my the dress as i walked to the bathroom and put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed.
"Alex you can do this." I whispered to my reflection.
"Alex are you done?" Emily asked from my room.
"Yeah." I said opening the door. Emily smiled at me before handing me my shoes and placing my tiara over my head finishing everything up.
"Go get him." She said and i hugged her before leaving to the great hall where Embry said he'd meet me. I walked down the hall crossing some people who would just stop their conversations and stair as i walked pass.
"She's so pretty." Some whispered.
"I know."
"No wonder she the princess of hogwarts."
I Smiled and continued walking with my head high. I arrived to the great hall and looked around looking for embry. His back was turned towards me and i smiled at my self.

Embry's P.O.V
I was waiting in the bottom staircase of the great hall waiting for Alex to come down. As I was waiting i talked to Ron and Harry, along with Cedric and some of the boys.
"Good luck tonight mate. See you out their." The twins said leaving to the great hall with their dates.
"We'll wait with you mate." Ron said and i shook my head.
"It really no need." I said and they shook their heads.
"Please Alex is practically our sister so we'll wait for her." Harry said as their dates approached us.
"Hello boys." They said i think they were the patil twins.
"You look dashing." One of them said and i held back my laughter. What the hell was Ron wearing.
"Ron I think you should go to the great hall. We'll wait for Alex." Harry told Ron and he reluctantly left with his date. Harry, his date, and i talked for a while before Harry's date looked up.
"She looks so beautiful." She said and i turned to see Hermione coming down.
"Yeah she does." Harry said looking at Cedric's date. I nudged him and he turned to look at her. I smiled at her as Victor walked up to her and kissed her hand. She smiled at him and he led her to his friends.
"Wow." Harry said looking up i realized everyone in the room was looking up the stairs. I turned to see the most beautiful girls in the world coming down the stairs. She was smiling at me the whole time coming down. When she reached my i bowed at her making her giggle.
"Hello." I greeted.
"Hi." She said.
"You look very beautiful." I whispered to her and she blushed looking down.
"Thank you. You look really handsome too." She said and i held my arm out for her to grab. I smiled at her as she linked her arm around mine and we walked towards the great hall.

Alex's P.O.V
Once i saw Embry smile up at me at those staircase i felt as though the world stopped and it was just him and i. Everything that happened with Draco gone, all my nerves were gone, and it was only him and i.
We walk to the great hall and the decoration was amazing. they followed the Christmas theme since tomorrow is Christmas and my birthday.
"I think you should consider this your birthday party." Embry whispered to my ear and i giggled.
"I guess so." I said and we walked towards my dad.
"Hello father" I said and he hugged me. Standing next to him was Auntie Minerva and I gave her a hug as well.
"Good to see you dear." She said and I smiled at her.
"Are the champions ready Minerva?" Father asked.
"Yes Albus." She said and we turned to the great doors as they opened revealing the champions. They were all in one line. Leading them was Fluer and her date, Victor and Hermione, Cedric and Cho, and lastly Harry and Paviti. They walked to the dance floor were we were all surrounding them. They got in position and as the music started they started dancing. Harry looked like he was dancing with two left feet. It was too funny. Father had to nudge so i wouldn't laugh yet he looked like he was trying to hold in his laughter. I then so my dad and Auntie Minerva walking to the dance floor and they started dancing.
"C'mon." Embry said taking my hand leading me to the dance floor as we started to dance.
"Lets see if we can do this." Embry said and I laughed as he tried to dance like everyone else,
"Just follow my lead." I said as we danced and talked and laughed. I look around the great hall as everyone was dancing but my eyes landed on Draco who was looking at Embry and i with jealousy as he was dancing with Pansy. I shook my head and looked at Embry.
"You ok?" He asked and I nodded as he pulled my in for a soft kiss. I felt butterflies exploding in my stomach once our lips touched. THe kiss didn't last long since we pulled away.
"I love you." He whispered and i smiled leaning my head on his warm shoulders. "You don't have to say in now. I just wan't to tell you how I feel about you." He said and i smiled at him.
"I love you too." I said and he smiled at me. "I did ever since I laid eyes on you. Even though i was soo in love with Draco at the time I still felt something towards you. When you and the boys came here and I got to spend more time with you my feelings grew even more. You were there when Draco cheated on me. You were always there. I Love you Embry Call." I whispered the last part and he pulled me close to him.
"I don't know what I'd do with out you after this year. I know you'll be back over the summer but then you'll leave again, and i won;t see you until the next summer." Embry said.
"Lets not think about that now." I said and he pulled my close as the music ended and a fast song started. Embry pulled my towards where the band was playing and we were dancing all night.
