I woke up feeling like crap. I got out of bed and went downstairs. Daniella and Savannah were sitting eating breakfast, and joking around. “Dang, who invited the dead into our house?” Daniella asked while Savannah rolled her eyes at her.

“You okay Piper? You don’t look so good,” Savannah said while bringing me a cup of water.

“I’m fine,” I said as I erupted into a coughing fit. “Okay, so I'm not that fine.” I looked at the clock and realize that I only have a few minutes till class starts and I’m not even dressed. “Oh crap I have to go get ready.”

“You are not going anywhere,” Savannah says while leading me to the couch. “You are taking a sick day because you are sick, which is what I’ll tell the teachers.” I groaned, but nodded when she glared at me. I spent the next five hours on the couch with a blanket watching movies. By the time Savannah and Daniella returned I was watching Catching Fire after finishing The Hunger Games. “Hey, how are you feeling?”

“Shush,” I told Savannah while concentrating on the movie. It was the scene where Katniss and Peeta are on the beach. “I want someone like Peeta Mellark is that too much to ask for.” After they had kissed and Johanna had interrupted them, I paused the movie and turned to Savannah. “Hey.”

“You are one strange girl. Have you eaten anything?” I shook my head no. “Okay are you hungry?” I shook my head no again. “Okay, well you still need to eat something, so I’ll make you some soup.” I sighed I knew there was no arguing with her. I went back and sat on the couch when my phone suddenly rang. I checked the caller ID, but it was a blocked number.  ‘Who would be calling me.’ I went to answer, but they hung up.

“Your soups ready Piper,” I heard Savannah yell from the kitchen. I cleared my mind and walked into the kitchen.

“Thanks,” I sat down and ate the soup. I’m not gonna be mean, but it tasted like sewer water.

“How is it?” Savannah asked. The expression on her face had so much hope that I didn’t want to put her down.

“Good,” I said as I forced myself to swallow it. Daniella walked into the room and I shot her a look. ‘Save me please’ she looked at me in amusement.

“How are you feeling?” Daniella asked.

“Good,” I said. ‘I would be feeling better if I wasn’t eating this sewer soup.’ Daniella just smirked at me and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. Time for plan b. I got up and sprinted to the bathroom and locked the door.

“Are you okay,” I heard Savannah yell from the other side of the door.

“I’m fine, I just feel sick again,” I said while pretending to throw up. I stayed in there for a couple minutes then I got up and flushed. I washed my mouth, trying to get the taste of the soup out of my mouth and walked out.

“Do you feel better now?” Savannah asked with a look of concern. I felt guilty, but I cleared my head from the thought.

“Yeah, I’m feeling great now,” I said. I went over and sat next to Daniella. She looked over at me and gave me a knowing smile, then returned to watching TV. An hour later Savannah came down wearing a dress and carrying a purse. “Damn Sav where are you going?”

“Sam and I are going out to dinner for our anniversary. Now try not to cause trouble while I’m not here okay,” She said while walking out the door. “I’ll be back tomorrow morning,”

“Yes mom,” Daniella said.

“Don’t do anything stupid,” I swear I could hear her rolling her eyes at us. Once the door was closed I turned and looked at Daniella.

“So what crazy plan do you have in mind?” I asked her.

“Didn’t you hear Savannah?” Daniella said with amusement in her voice.

“Like you’re going to follow the rules,” I said.

“Okay, so I was thinking maybe we do a little spying on Ione,” Daniella said as she turned off the TV.

“Oh, you mean because of yesterday's incident?” I asked.

“No, I mean because she’s a lovely person to watch. Yes about yesterdays incident, maybe we’ll figure something out,” She said while getting up and putting her shoes on.

“All right,” I said. “Just let me go upstairs and change then we can go.”
