“This is a stupid idea. Can I please just go back and watch TV?” I asked Daniella for the third time.
“No! Stop complaining you’ll have a great time,” She said while rolling her eyes.
“So you have a date tomorrow, right?” She nodded. “So, I won’t have you bothering me right?”
“No, you’ll have Savannah bothering you,” She said with a smile on her face. We met Dylan and Logan at the beach. It wasn’t as awkward as I thought it would be. It was surprisingly fun. By the time we got back home it was time for dinner.
“Do we have to go can’t we like eat here?” I said as I plopped down onto the couch face first.
“Yes lazy come on,” Daniella said while dragging me off the couch. I groaned and got up and walked to the dinning hall. We sat the same table with the same people. Ellie was annoying Justine which seemed to happen often. Dylan and Logan were talking about football or basketball something with a ball. So, that just left me and Daniella who was currently talking about something.
“-so do you think it’s a good idea because...you're not listening are you?” I gave her a sheepish smile and shook my head no.
“Sorry,” I said while taking a drink.
“It’s fine,” She sighed. “How has your first week been so far? Are you enjoying your time.” I rolled my eyes at her question.
“Oh, you know the usual went to classes, made friends, got shot, ended up in the infirmary, found out I have abilities, found this sword with my last name on it, fought with an annoying girl, got sick, and that's about all,” I said while getting up to throw my plate away. Daniella stood up and came with me.
“Okay, so not the usual High School but, this stuff happens all the time here,” She said while laughing. I gave her a small smile and we returned to the table.
“So why weren’t you in class today?” Ellie asked me while taking a sip out of her Dr. Pepper.
“I woke up sick,” I said.
“Sucks, you missed gym class. We played Dodgeball and Ellie smacked Ione in the head and she went down,” Justine said.
“That’s not fair, I wanna see her get hit in the head,” I said while pouting.
“Dude, don’t complain you got to whip her butt,” Dylan said.
“True, but it wasn’t exactly a challenge,” I said right when the bell that dismissed us rang.
“All right, I’ll pick you up at six babe,” Dylan said while kissing Daniella’s cheek and walking out with Logan. I raised an eyebrow at her and she just blushed.
“Babe?” I asked.
“Shut up,” She mumbled and hit me in the arm. I held my hands up in surrender and followed her home. Once my head hit the pillow I was out cold. I woke up and looked at the clock 9:34 ‘oh crap I’m late.’ I got up and started rushing when the thought hit me it’s Saturday. Once I was done calling myself an idiot I dragged myself downstairs to find Savannah making breakfast and Daniella asking her questions.
“Morning,” I said while getting orange juice out of the fridge.
“Thank for waking up, now save me from Daniella please,” Savannah said. I walked up and sat in the chair next to Daniella and kicked her.
