“Piper wake up,” someone said while shaking my shoulder. I groaned ad pushed my head further into the pillow. “Piper come on I know your tired and you slept late last night, but you need to wake up so we can get this mission over with.” I sighed and pushed the blanket off. I sat up and saw that it was Savannah who was trying to wake me up.

“Fine,” I said and got out of bed. My whole body was sore, but I pushed the thought out of my head, today was adventure day yay, hope the sarcasm was detected. I did what I usually do every morning and went downstairs to see Daniella eating a bowl of cereal. “Morning.” I grabbed a bowl and sat next to her, pouring cereal and milk into my bowl.

“How’d you sleep?” She asked.

“Fine,” I said as I ate my cereal.

“That’s good, so you remember everything I taught you right? You’re all prepared,” She said while putting her bowl into the sink.

“Yeah,” I said while finishing my breakfast.

“What’s up with the simple one word responses?” She questioned me in which I replied with a shoulder shrug. “Okay, so now we’re down to no word responses. Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” I said. Daniella shot me a look in which I sighed. “Just nerves I guess.”

“You’ll be fine. You have Savannah and I, plus backup, and backup for the backup,” She said.

“You’re right,” I said, putting the bowl in the sink and going upstairs.

“Always am,” I heard Daniella yell from downstairs. I smiled and closed the door to my room and started getting ready. After putting on clothes that if necessary I could fight with I grabbed my sword and my phone and headed downstairs. Once downstairs, I saw Savannah and Daniella stocking up on weapons.

“Here,” Savannah said while handing me a bow. “Daniella said you don’t suck and it’s always good to have one long distance weapon with you.”

“Thanks,” I said while grabbing some arrows and putting them in a quiver which I strapped on. I then shouldered the bow and strapped the sword into the sheath.

“So, we’re riding in a car and meeting the rest there,” Daniella informed me. I nodded and we walked out the door and towards the parking lot. The last time I was here, was exactly a week ago. It was Monday which meant we were skipping school, which I’m guessing is the reason why we’re up so early. Once we got near the car no one made a move to get in.

“Guy’s why are we all just standing here?” I asked and they both smiled at me.

“We thought since you’re now part of the so called pack, that you get to drive,” Daniella said while holding the keys out to me.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea? Because the only time I’ve ever driven a car was during drivers Ed at school and that one time my sister took me driving. Also I’m only 15,” I said.

“Yeah, we’re sure,” Savannah said while handing me the keys and hopping into the back seat. I sighed, not wanting to argue and got into the driver seat. After Daniella was in and I had my seatbelt on I drove the car out of the parking lot of Willow Creek and got onto the freeway.

“So, do you know the name of the street and the exit I have to take?” I asked to no one in particular.

“Ya I put the address into the gps, so you’re good,” Daniella said. The rest of the hour car ride was silent. Once we were parked in the lot of the empty building did someone decide to break the silence. “The rest should be here soon.” I nodded and the next fifteen minutes were used getting the weapons we needed ready. When the two car’s pulled up into the lot we went and met in the middle.

To people passing by we would look like trouble makers who skipped school and came to an abandoned place with weapons which, if anyone had half a mind they would call the cops on us, but luckily there weren’t that many people out on the streets of LA this early on in the day.

“So, I stole these from the security department,” Sam said while handing each of us ear pieces. “So, now if anything happens we’ll be able to get in touch.” We all put in the ear pieces and tested them to make sure they worked.

“Be careful,” Logan said.

“Don’t do anything stupid,” Ellie said while giving us each a hug. Dylan and Daniella kissed, then Sam and Savannah hugged, and soon it was time for us to go in. I flashed them a smile and walked towards the entrance.

“Like Ellie said, Don’t do anything stupid Prescott,” Daniella said and Savannah nodded in agreement.

“We’ll see I only do stupid things when the situation is necessary,” I said and we stopped in front of the door. “Let’s do this.” Together we walked in through the door to be met with pitch blackness. I sighed and turned the flashlight that was on my phone on. I walked around until I found the light switch and flipped it on. “I found th-” I stopped halfway through my sentence because there, in the middle of the empty building was a chair, and strapped in that chair was the last person I wanted to see in danger, Luke.
