"Elija...?" His grip around me grew tighter when I said his name. "Why were you two fighting?" I ask desperately. "Seeing you two fight hurt me." He stays quiet. He releases a small sigh. "Doubt you'll believe me." He starts off. "We both feel the same about you..." What does he mean 'feels the same way'?
I pull away from him. "Elija, what do you mean?" He scoffs at my question. "Sinagona, me and him both love you." Elija tells me. "I know you don't believe it, but it's true." He hisses. "Stop lying." I growl. Jake doesn't love me we're friends, and Elija doesn't love me, he just plays around.
"Oh come on! Sinagona! We do love you! You're just to blind!" Elija shouts. He sits on the couch, elbows oh n his knees, and head in his hands. "What would anyone see in me." I growl. I'm no ones type. I like living on the lonely road.
"No you don't."
A voice in the back of my head says. "Sinagona, you're beautiful, smart, clever, hard working, loving, caring, and full of surprises!" Elija shouts. "But one day I won't be full of surprises." I defend. "It doesn't matter, because I will still love you." Elija states strongly.
Ever since I found out that, that woman wasn't my real mother I felt alone. The only thing I have ever asked for was a family, but wishes never come true. This isn't some fairy tale, this is reality. And in reality wishes don't come true.
"I need to head home." I say. I quickly walk out the cabin, and start making my way home.
When I finally make it home I rush towards Jake's room. I pound on the door. "Come in..." Right as he welcomes me in I open the door. Jake is sitting at the edge of his bed, just staring at the floor.
"Jake, I'm sorry." I apologize as I kneel down to see his face. "What did you two do...?" He asks. I assume he's talking about me being gone. "We talked." I answer. "About...?" He asks. "He said the he loved me and so did you, but I didn't believe any of it." I tell him about our conversation.
Jake's face crunches. "Sina..." He says. "I do love you!" He shouts. My eyes widen. Am I hearing things? "Jake?" I say. I'm so confused. "Jake, tell me the truth." I demand. "I, have had a crush on you for years Sina." He looks almost to the break of tears. "And seeing you with him tonight, hurt me." He explains his feelings to me. So Elija was telling me the truth...?
"I need time to settle my thoughts." I say. "I'm going to bed." Once that was said I walk to my room. When I get there I hope out of my clothes into more comfortable ones.
As I lay under the sheets sleepless I stare at the ceiling. So what Elija said about Jake liking me, does that mean he likes me as well? But?- Ugh! I don't know anymore! All these things are confusing! I've never had feelings like that towards anyone in my life. Has everything Elija has told me true? Have I really been to blind to believe it? These questions haunt me all night.
Does he really love me...?
