Ever since I came back home I've made sure to not come across Jake. I'm in the training room lifting some of the weights. "So, Sina." I nearly jump out of my skin when I hear Jake's voice. "Were you the one who tore one of the punching bags?" I sigh in relief.
"Yeah, I had a lot on my mind that night." Jake comes and sits next to me. At the sudden movement I tense up. "Have you been ignoring that blood sucking monster?" He asks. I settle my nerves so he doesn't see through my lie.
"Yes." Now I can only home he doesn't see through that lie. His face hardens. "You may be the queen of lies, but..." He inches closer to me. "You reek of him." He growls. "Jake, we share classes maybe that's why I smell like him." I try to defend myself.
"Oh really? His stench on you is stronger then the past few days!" He growls. His face is covered in rage. I put my hand on his shoulder giving it a tight squeeze in the process.
"Listen to me Jake, you need to quite worrying about me." I tell him. I don't know why he even cares. Does he think I'm so weak I can't even take care of myself? "Jake..." I squeeze tighter. "Am I weak to you?" His eyes soften at my question. "No Sina! Your stronger than me." He says. "Then you can trust me to handle the vampire myself." I try to set him straight.
He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it. Jake mumbles something under his breath, but I didn't catch it. "Well, I'll get out of your hair." Jake leaves in uncomfortable silence.
I'm kinda missing the regular Jake. I lift a little more weights, then move on to the punching bags. "Sinagona." Ms. Eagle calls out to me. I haven't been talking to her a lot lately. "Jake looks down, did something happen between you two?" She always on the spot.
"We had a little argument, that's all." I'm not lying, but I'm also not giving her the full truth. No one lies to Ms. Eagle. She's the boss around here; no one disrespects her either. "I don't care whatever it was about, but I hope you two make up." With that she leaves.
Me and Jake are the same age. My second day here Ms. Eagle introduced us. We've know each other ever since. Sometimes girls would come up to me and ask we were dating. I've always considered Jake to be a friend.
I giggle a little remembering the past. Jake did stupid, but funny things to make me laugh. No matter how many times he failed he still tried to make me laugh. I guess that's why he was worried about Elija, he was only worried because we're friends.
Once I had that though I ran out looking for Jake. He's rarely in his room. So I'll check that last. I ran out to the free area. It's a big lush area full of grass. It's behind the building in the forest.
It took my a little over an hour to check the whole outside area, but I wasn't able to find him. I decide to walk back inside. I run into Ms. Eagle. "Ms. Eagle." I call out. Luckily it catches her attention, as she turns to face me. "Ma'am do happen to know where Jake is?" I ask almost desperate. "Yes, he's in his room." She answers before walking off.
Out of all the places I've checked... HE'S WAS IN HIS ROOM THIS WHOLE TIME!!! I shake my head, then rush to Jake's room. Once there I pound on his door. "Jake, it's me Sinagona! Let me in!" Jake obliges to my request. "Sina...?" Right as I'm in I shut the door.
"Jake sit." Jake takes a seat on the edge of his bed, all ears. "I'm sorry about oh fun getting made with you earlier." I decide to begin with. "Sometimes I forget that you're a tea rally good friend; you've always been there for me even when not asked to." I do my best to speak my heart. "Sina..." Before I could speak Jake tightly wraps his arms around me.
"Sina, you don't know how much what you said means to me." His green eyes become glossy. "Jake, could you keep a secret for me?" I ask. I'm not really positive he'll agree. "Yup!" He sounds like a edger puppy. "That vampire." I start. "He's training me." I tell him honestly.
"He?" I bump him on the head. "He's training me how to fight vampires." I can tell be the look on his face that he's thinking hard about it. "I'm okay with it." He says, "as long as he doesn't try any funny business." I sigh. "Idiot, no man would be interested in me." I assure him. "But I am." Jake mumbles under his breath. I think I'm hearing things.
"I should rest." I should, because I'm hearing things! "G-night Sina." I tell him goodnight before heading to my room. Once there I plop down on my bed.
Wait, if Elija is training me how to fight vampires and knows my motives; doesn't that make him a traitor to his own kind? I know I might be thinking to hard, but that's how it seems. But why would he want to betray his own kind? Or is he just luring me so he can get rid of me.
He knows that I'm a Saga, and vampires hate Saga's. He hasn't shown any type of hate towards me, except for when he first attacked me. Maybe I can ask him why he's helping me tomorrow; tomorrow is Friday. This week has flown by fast. People can't sneak a lie past me easily. So if I ask him I should be able to know if he's lying or not.
Why am I thinking about that idiot at... I take a look at my clock to see the time. My eyes go wide. IT'S ONE IN THE MORNING ALREADY! I should go to sleep. I get comfortable in my covers before drifting off the sleep.
