Being paranoid about Nuriona's safety, I decide to spend the day with her.

I'm making eggs and bacon. As I'm scrambling the eggs, Nuriona emerges from her room. She rubs her eyes, a long yawn erupting from her mouth. Her eyes light up as she smells
the food.

"Mommy, don't you have work?" She asks being surprised by me being here. Lisa usually comes over to school her as I'm working, this is a rare occasion to happen. "Nothing really important," I lie. I want to read over the file to see if I over looked anything. I don't want her worrying over this situation.

"I'm going to spend the day with you." I state gladly. Her blue eyes light up with excitement. "Yay!" She cheers before taking a seat at the dinning table. Once I'm done cooking I serve her, her plate.

She had a fearful look on her features. Like she wanted to say or ask something. "Go on, speak." I urge her on. She seemed surprised of me being able to read her. I'm her mom, Ivm able to read her from a mile away.

"All the other kids have dads," She says quietly under her breath. I clench my fork. "Mommy, where's my daddy?" She asks. All my memories with that no good for nothing arse fill my head. I hated Elija. He left me to raise a child all by myself. I doubt he has a good reason for it. If I ever see him again, I'll beat him.

"Mommy doesn't want to talk about it," I try to say as gentle as I could, but the subject of him irritated me. I felt betrayed by him. I'm the dumbest person in the world for trusting a vampire.

"But mommy"-"No buts," I hiss. Nuriona quickly shut her mouth, and ate her food. Once we were done I cleaned the dishes. "Nuriona, do you want to go somewhere?" I ask with a place already in mind. "Yes!" Nuriona perked up at the offer, getting rid of the depressing mood.

"Get you're shoes on, and we'll head out." I say. We both take a minute or two to get ready. "You ready?" I ask. She nods her head crazily.

Nuriona follows my lead out the door. I take her to the place I used to run away too when I was younger. The clearing was covered in lush grass, oh it slightly waved as the wind blew passed it. The sun caused a beautiful sight as it shun through the plants of the area. Many flowers grew in the area.

Nuriona ran through it all. She danced and played. I brought the file with me. As Nuriona played, I read the file again, but I took glances at her every now and then.

This man, otherwise know as Albert Clamos, is a scientist. Not only does he have money, but access to any chemicals he might need to make a machine to strip me of my powers. It sounds far fetched, but he might have this machine. I don't want to say it's a lie, and something horrible happens.

Me and Nuriona head back home. I made her dinner, then put her too bed. When she was out like a light I call a meeting.

It doesn't take long before we're all sitting at the conference table. "After reading the file, I have come to realize that there's no evidence showing that he doesn't have such a machine." I explain. "More like it proves he does." Eyes all around the table harden.

"We will take precautions." I order. "I will head to his house tomorrow." Gasps occur around the room. I need to take this man down as fast as I can. "I will be leaving at the end of this meeting." I inform. Jay and Jared give me confident looks. "Shula, please watch over my home while I'm out." I advise. Shula bows her head in agreement. "If Nuriona questions my being gone, tell her I'm out on work." Shula nods.

I know it's better to have the wolves watch her, but no one needs to know about any of this unless their in this room. "No one is to know anything about this, understand?" I order firmly. "Yes ma'am!" They all agree at the same time.

"Dismissed!" Everyone rises from their seats to leave. The twins are last. "Sinaria!" Pascal calls out to me before I left the room. "Yes?" I ask. Hope this is important. I want to get rid of this man before this nags at me anymore. Pascal is really a joker, but he knows when to be serious.

"While me and Pascal were on patrol last night, we found out someone was hiding in the trees." Puma speaks. I look at her in confusion. "We looked in closer and realize this person has been doing this for some time now." Puma explains. "We don't know who this is, but they haven't shown any action of violence, yet." The yet part gets me, but as long as this person doesn't hurt my people or daughter, we're fine.

"This stays between us, take a few more patrol shifts to gather information." I order. They both bow to me before walking off.

Okay, now it's time to find Albert. I wrote down his address. I quickly take my leave. As I exit I feel someone's eyes on me. I look around me, but only see pine trees. The darkness of the night doesn't help either. I shake off the feeling and head on my way to Albert Clamos's mansion.

3 HOURS LATER

I finally make it to his house. It's made red brick, and three stories high. The place is well kept, but a eerie feeling resigns in it. It has large brick walls for keeping others out. Green vines grow all over it. I spot a large black gate. It's better I climb the vines. I don't want to be noticed.

I climb the vines then hop off the wall. My landing is swift and quiet. I take a look around the property for something that resembles a laboratory. A metal white building catches my eye. I take a look around to be sure not to be spotted. Then... I make a run for it.

I try to look for an entrance into the building. A large window on the top of the building is open. How am I supposed to get up there? I question myself. I look around until I see a pair of huge pipes coming out from the side of what I believe is the laboratory. I quietly climb onto the pipes. I slowly make my way to the open window.

I take a peak inside. Inside are two large empty glass capsules. I don't see any thing that would give me a soft landing. I jump through the open window. I crotch down as I land, a small pain sores through my ankles, but I shake it off.

My feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I thought I put it on silence. I look at it, and Shula's name appears. I answer it.

"Nuriona's missing!" My heart stops. A man comes into my vision. Hair dark brown, and empty eyes. He wears a white lab coat. I hung up as I see what's right next to him.

"Nuriona..." I say breathless. Hatred and rage fills me. "Let her go!" I growl. Her small frame shakes as tears stream down her flushed cheeks. "Albert I assume." I state grimly. "The one and only." I shove my phone back in my pocket.

My blood boils as he smiles disgustingly. "This is only about you and me, leave her out of it." I growl; holding my hands up in plea. He narrows his eyes on me before throwing Nuriona to the side. I try my best to not show my anger. I can't let go I'm see he's getting to me.

I dash towards him, a evil smile crawls into his features. Before I knew it he pulled out a large gun. He shot it right into me, leaving a big hole in my torso.

My body freezes in shock. I spit out blood. I slowly look down at the hole in my body.

It... It went right through me... "MOMMY!!!" Nuriona cries. Albert just laughs hysterically at my state. I crumble to the ground. My head feels light, my vision is slowly being clouded. Albert grabs some needles, then punctures them through my skin.

My body feels to numb and... Weak to do anything. He flips a switch on a machine. "AHHH!!!" I scream. The once empty capsules are now slowly filling with some sort of blue substance. I scream once more as if something's being ripped out of me.

"What i-is this...?" I manage to ask through all the pain. "That my dear..." He bends down to my ear. "Is your power." I feel his warm breath as the words leave his mouth. I don't have to look at him to tell he's smirking.

"And once I drain you of your power... She's next." He points to a very frightened Nuriona.

My heart aches at her tear filled eyes. It's as if the blue color of her eyes are leaking. "I..." I cough up more blood. "Will never l-let you hurt her." I growl. His smirk only widens.

A single tear leaves my eye. I can't do anything... This can't be the end! No... I have to... Save her...

I'm out cold.
