"Then what are we, cupcake...?"
He asks. He holds my eyes with an intense gaze. "I don't know..." I admit. We're not even dating. The last time I checked friends don't get friends pregnant without being in a relationship. His face falls. "The last time I checked we were friends, Elija." I hiss.
"Last time I checked Jake is your friend, but he still tries." He growls. "Let go." I growl deeply. He let's go of my arm reluctantly. I storm to my room. As soon as I'm in my room I look the door. The smell of flower incense relaxs me a bit.
Sometimes Elija worries or freaks too much about Jake. I know the truth, and I know what my answer is to the situation; it's no. Suddenly I have a excruciating pain in my side. I end up falling with a big thump. I hear footsteps rush towards my door. The knob rattles intensely.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?!" His voice is full of panic. I reach the knob to unlock it. As soon as he hears it click he opens the door. He rushes to pick me. He picks me up bridle style, then lays me gently on the bed. "Cupcake, what's wrong?" He asks worried. "My side hurts like hell." I hiss. It feels as if someone stabbed me.
"I'll grab you something!" He says as he rushes out. Using his speed he comes back quickly. In his hands are a glass of water, and pain killers. He gives me two, and hands me the water. I take the pills, then sip the water to help me swallow. "Rest for the day." Elija asks. "Please." He begs sensing I was about to object. Elija leaves my room. I like to be active, and being like this isn't something I like. Not being able to train will kill me.
Since I'm not tired I decide to take this time to write my speech. I take my time to think. "Cupcake?" Elija pops his head in. I swear if he doesn't stop calling me that! "What?" I say. "Dinner's ready." Right as those words leave his mouth I dash out my room. The mention of food really got me worked up. Elija chuckles at my reaction. "What's for dinner?" I ask eagerly. "Cheese burger, with fries, and tacos." He answers. I begin to drool.
He gives me my plate. In a no matter of time I dig in. Elija just watches me eat with a big grin. "What?" I growl. "Love me here and now!" He sings as he swings his arms open for a hug. I grab a pillow from the couch and chunk it at him. "Hug that." I say. He laughs.
Me and Elija head to our rooms for sleep. Instead of going to sleep I pull out a pen and paper, and start thinking of my speech. After who knows how long I finally got it.
"I, from now on shall lead and protect all who are under my reign. I may not be the best leader, but know your all my top priority from this day on. I ask nothing of you, but happiness and your loyalty."
