Me and Katie are in Mr. Harwell's class. She's telling me about these puppies she's found. "There's three of them, and their all huskys." Katie tells me. "Where's their mom, she might kill you for being around her babies." I warn her.

"We found her dead." Katie gives me a sad look. "My mom said she doesn't want puppies around the house unless they were trained." Katie frowns. That's one thing I love about Katie. She's very passionate about her love for animals.

"Maybe I take them, and train them." I suggest. Her eyes sparkle. "Really?!" She squeals so loud I'm surprised Mr. Harwell didn't hear it. "Yeah, animals really like me." She hugs me so tight I almost lose my breath. "When can get them?" She asks. "Today if it's good with your mom." She hugs me tighter. "She'll be okay with taday." She miss pronounces today.

As it's lunch time I head outside. Of course Elija is waiting under the same tree as yesterday. "Hey, Elija can I ask you something?" He pirks up. "Sure." He answers. "Why are you helping me train to fight your kind?" My question comes kind of a shock coming of his reaction.

"Do you want an honest answer?" What idiot asks something like that? "Of course." He struggled to pick out the right words to say. "I like you, as in like, like you." My eyes widen. I laugh nervously at his answer. "Come on, I want the truth." I take his answer as a joke, but it by the look he's giving me it isn't.

"This might sound stupid, but it felt like love at first sight." He says. He plays with his fingers. He's nervous. "I kinda ditched my kind long ago, but I wouldn't give away our weaknesses." He must not understand himself. "Wait, I've only known you for a week!" I state. Plus love at first sight doesn't exist.

"Don't you believe in love at first sight?"-"No." I answer quickly. "Well that's my reason, I don't think you believe me." Damn straight. "Let's just start our training." I want to learn how to beat vampires as fast as I can!

"What made you ask?" Elija asks before we start training. "I couldn't get it out my head last night." I answer. "You think about me at night." Elija cheers. I throw a stick at him. "What are we doing today?" He smiles.

"Today we're working on combat." Elija replies. Yes! "Now, when fighting vamps you have to think fast and hit hard, fast." He educates me on combat with vampires. "So the key thing is speed in every department?" I say a little unsure if I'm correct. "Perfecro!" I nod my head.

He's a pretty good teacher. He goes over every detail at a slow and steady past so I understand. "There's four different classes of vamps." Some of this information is knew to me. I thought vampires were just vampires, I didn't know there were different classes.

"The lowest class are vamps who were once human; easy kill." I nod in understanding. "The next class are vampires who are towns people; a little tough." How vampires live is almost like our modern day society. "Next are vampires who serve royals; strong. Now the highest class are royals." He catches my gaze holding tight. "Royals have special powers; each one is different making them unpredictable." He tells me.

"Elija, if you don't mind me asking, but what class are you?" He freezes. "Sorry, but I kinda do mind." Suspicious. Is embarrassed by his class? "Wait, you were once human?" I know he won't tell me, but I want to know. "I was born a gorgeous vamp." I wave my hand for him to carry on the lesson.

"Sorry cupcake, but I'm afraid our time is up." He points to his watch. "I though we could at least learn combat for the lowest class." He mumbles. "But if it wasn't for someone who had very unnecessary questions." He says in a fancy like tone to him sound high class. "I wanted to know more about you." I say as I walk back inside.

I have a lot of classes with Katie, and I'm happy I have my last one with her. "I talked to my mom at lunch about you coming over, and she said yes!" Katie cheers. "Oh, by the way why don't you sit with me at lunch?" I cough nervously.

"I work out at that time, sorry." Her eyes light up in admiration. "Can you flex your arm!" She says really fast. I flex my arm. Her eyes go wide. She decides to touch it. "That's harder than rock." She says in amazement. "You're so cool, oh! I should call you God Sinagona." Well I am a God.

"How you two fine ladies doing?" Elija decides to walz on over here. Katie's face turns redder than a tomato at his greeting. "Fine thank you, now go." Katie looks at me. "What my dear friend is saying is you can stay." Katie tells him as she slaps my arm.

"Me and her are friends." Elija comments. "Sinagona why didn't you tell me! I thought you two were just hanging out." Katie starts jumping her seat. "What's your name?" He asks Katie in a flirty voice. I will kill him! "It's K-Katie." She studders to say here name.

"That's a cute name." His complement makes her redder than ever. I throw a pencil at him. "Anything more and she'll die of a heart attack." I comment. "Jealous." He sings. "Never." I say. The bell rings for the end of the day. Katie takes my hand and drags me down the hallway.

As me and Katie make it outside I see a familiar figure. Jake. He waves once he spotted me. Me and Katie walk over to him. "Hey Jake, I need to go to Katie's place to pick up something; could you tell Ms. Eagle so she doesn't worry." He nods before walking his way back home. I could feel someone's gaze piercing through me. When I turn around I see Elija glaring in Jake's way.

It only takes seven minutes before we reach Katie's house. I see a woman with a pet carer. "Mom!" Katie hollers to her mom. I could hear the puppies barking and whining in the carer. But once we made our way to her the puppies went quiet. "Mom, this is my friend, the one I've been telling you about." Katie introduces us and we shake hands.

"Once I have these puppies trained would you like one or two?" I ask Maria, Katie's mom. "Yes, we'll take two, if their trained right." I take the pet carer from her. "Don't worry ma'am." I assure her. "What about the third one?" Katie asks me. "That one will be a gift to a friend of mine." I answer. We bid our goodbyes, then I leave.

I plan on giving one of the puppies to  Jake. He loves Huskys. He's actually always wanted one, but he couldn't afford to buy one. I could easily tell these pups were pure breeds.

As I near the trail home Elija appears. "What do you want?" I ask a little annoyed. "Who was that guy?" He asks in a harsh tone. "A friend." I answer. "He's a wolf Nia, ya'know." He states. "Yes I know." I say a little irritated. "How long have you known him?" Why is asking so many questions about Jake. "Since I was six." A small growl erupts from his throat.

"Why then?" I'm about to smack to idiot right out of this guy. "Because that was when I went there..." I start to remember the night I went there. I use all my strength to hold back the tears.

  "Goodnight my little butterfly."

Was the last thing she ever said to me. Elija notices my uneasiness and speaks. "What's wrong." He puts a hand on my shoulder. I quickly brush it off. "Elija, I need to go home." I say before rushing home.

Once there I grab a bite to eat then head to Jake's room. "Jake, are you there?" I ask from outside his door. "Come in." He welcomes knowing it's me. "I got a present for you." I begin. "What?" His green eyes shinned with excitement and curiosity.

"I have a pure breed Husky puppy." Jake jumps of his bed full of excitement. "YOU ARE DA BEST!" He shouts in joy. I take out the boy puppy and hand it to Jake. "He's not trained, that's your job." I state sternly. "I'm training these two for my friend." I inform him.

"That girl you were walking with?" He asks to make sure. "Yes." I reply. "Um," I give him a questionable look. "What is it?" I ask. "N-nothing." He shakes it off. "I'm going." I announce as I head out of his room.

Once I make it to my room I let the puppies out of their carer. They looked a little tired. They looked at my bed, then me. I nod my head knowing what they were asking. They quickly jumped on my bed. In a matter of no time they were asleep.

As I get under the covers I start wondering. Did Jake notice Elija glaring at him? Jake is very observant on certain things, and my school would be opened those things, so he must of noticed.

Tomorrow is Saturday, I should use the weekends to work on some of the things Elija taught me. Why was he glaring at Jake, and why did he want to know so much about him and me?

"I like you, as in like, like you."

I have a flash back on what Elija said at lunch. Could he be? No, no, he was only playing with me! I convince myself for the night.
