I slowly open my eyes. Albert is trying to grab Nuriona. I try to move, but my body's too sore. I realize I'm laying in a puddle of blood. I glance at the capsules. It's about thirty-five feet tall, and twenty feet long. There still seems power in me if I'm still alive.

I feel a cold presence next to me. Someone with ice cold hands lifts my head into their lap. I'm shocked, but I'm in too much pain to show. Elija holds me in his lap. Tears silently stream down his features. His bright blue eyes are shadowed in pain, and worry.

It looks like he's having a conversation with himself in his head.  He brings up his wrist to his mouth, then bites it. Blood drips from his wrist. A painful expression plagues his face. Then he puts his wrist to my lips. His cold blood runs down my throat. Once I've had enough, he rips the needles from my skin.

I scream in pain as I feel my wound healing. When it's finally healed Elija lifts me up. "Sorry," he says before he throws me through the capsule. The glass breaks at the impact. I feel all my stolen power return to me. The laboratory is filled with so much noise already, so Albert didn't hear the capsule break.

When I get up, Elija is gone. I walk over to Albert who's busy with Nuriona. I swing my leg up high, then hit him upside the head. He tumbles to the ground. "MOMMY!" Nuriona screeches as she runs to me. She hides herself behind my legs.

I slowly walk over to Albert. Anger takes over me, and I find myself endlessly stomping on his face. Blood splatters everywhere, but I don't care.

I stop once I know he's dead. "Mommy," Nuriona calls out. I turn to her. My body relaxes knowing she's fine. She hands me a note. "Where'd you get this from?" I ask. "Some man just handed it to me." She answers obviously confused. I pick her up.

"Let's go home." Nuriona nods her head in agreement. I kick some machine into the machine that could strip me of my power. I ran out the laboratory as fast as I could before...

BOMB

It exploded.

When we got home I explained everything that happened, but left out the Elija thing. As soon Nuriona laid on her bed she passed out. I kissed her little hand before leaving the room.

When I exit her room I dig in my pocket. I pull out the note Nuriona gave me. I open it up.

Dear love of my life,

I never want to see you like that. I love you, remember that. You're now stronger with vampire blood in your system. Please be careful!

Love
Elija

The note was from Elija. So I wasn't imagining things. I still hate him! Even though he saved me and Nuriona. It doesn't change the fact he abandoned us.

My heart tightens at the thought of hating him. I guess somewhere inside me... I love him. No, no, no! I could never love the good for nothing arse hole!

I decide I should probably head to sleep. I take a shower before doing so. I look in the mirror at my torso. It looks as if nothing had happened at all. I almost died today. I almost failed to protect my own child.

I quickly discard those thoughts from my head before heading to bed. The night is a sleepless one, as many thoughts keep running through my head.
