"Well hey there good lookin'"
The whiskey slid down my throat as a voice purred into my ear. I hummed and turned to see exactly what I expected.
Dean Winchester. The handsome hunter was smirking at me, eyes glistening with lust as he leaned casually against the bar. Of course, he had no idea I knew all about him, and had followed him to this shit hole bar.
He wore a smug look on that pretty little face of his, as he extended a his hand. "Name's Dean," He winked. "What's your name?"
I arched an eyebrow, and slowly, seductively, licked my lips. Dean's grin widened, if possible, but that was the only indication he even noticed my actions.
"Y/N. The name's Y/N,"
"Hm...It suits you. Can I buy you another drink Y/N?" The way he spoke my name sent shivers down my spine. Damn. I hadn't prepared to be this attracted to him.
"Only if it's Jack," I smirked, and Dean raised a brow. "You got good taste," He commented, and flagged down the bartender. "Two shots of Jack Daniels," He requested.
"So...What brings you here on this fine Wednesday evening?" He asked, his voice husky.
"I'm actually looking for someone," I informed him. "And it turns out, I found him," I met Dean's eyes, and was momentarily taken aback with how bright they were.
"Wait what?" Dean's smooth talk was cut short as he suddenly realized our meeting was not by chance. "You're looking for me? Who are you?" He asked, his brows furrowing, as his guard began to rise.
"Easy tiger, I'm no threat. Just another hunter," I assured. "A hunter with a message,"
Our drinks were set before us, and Dean took his, licking his lips in thought, and downing it in one gulp. "Alright, what you got?" He asked.
I took a breath. "Rufus,"
Dean's head snapped over to me quickly. "Rufus? Damn I haven't heard that name in years... You knew him?"
My heart squeezed up and I gave a sad smile. "He was my dad," I said softly, before tossing back my own shot.
"Oh shit...I had no idea he had kids..." Dean murmured. "I'm sorry...If I had known-"
I shook my head. "No no...It's okay. I don't blame you or Bobby for what happened. Me Bobby talked after he passed, and he told me what happened. It was the monster's fault," I assured.
Dean gave a single nod. "How come we havent met before? I mean...You're Rufus' kid, and you knew Bobby...You hunt..."
I sighed. "Because I didn't want you to know me. I hunted alone mostly. I went by different names...I didn't trust anyone. Then I stopped hunting for a while. But after dad died, I threw myself back into it. Helped me deal with the grief I guess," I gave a small shrug.
A silence settled between us before I decided I should tell Dean why I had followed him. "The reason I came to you, now of all times, is because I found something of my fathers. A journal. And hidden in the pages, he kept a key. It was taped to a page, and the page said 'For Sam and Dean Winchester,' So...I'm guessing whatever this key unlocks, he left for you and your brother,"
I pulled the key out of my pocket and placed it in front of Dean. "I thought it might be important. I didn't stumble across it until just recently,"
Dean looked at the key for a moment before picking it up and inspecting it. "Huh," He traced the teeth with his finger, squinting, as if a hidden message lay within.
"There were coordinates written there as well. Somewhere in the middle of Nebraska I guess. I didn't want to go without you or your brother. Felt like I was intruding on something my dad left for you two,"
Dean nodded slightly. "I appreciate that. You must have been curious," He smirked and I chuckled.
"Oh I still am. Believe me,"
Dean ran his tongue over his bottom lip, which I hated to admit, turned me on way more than it should have. "Why don't you come with? To get what he left us? I don't see why you should be kept in the dark,"
I looked at him in surprise. "Really? You don't think I'd impose?"
Dean snorted. "Impose? Rufus was your dad. This is your business just as much as it is ours. Sammy and I are staying at a motel not to far from here. If you want you can follow me back and we can find our where exactly this place is,"
I found myself smiling at his offer "That would be great. I appreciate it,"
Dean sent me a smile back. This smile was much more genuine, and made him appear all the more handsome for it. "Besides, it'll give me and Sammy a chance to get to know you," He supplied, and paid for the drinks we got. "Whenever you're ready, we'll head out,"
I grabbed my coat and tossed it over my shoulders. "Lead the way hot stuff," I teased, with a wink.
Dean laughed and stood also. "I think we'll get along just fine Y/N,"
