I walked through the halls of the crowded high school wishing I would be anywhere but here. Unfortunately, I was the new student again, and everyone seemed to find an interest in picking on the new kid. Luckily, I new how to stand up for myself. I had my mom to thank for that. My mom taught me everything I know, from using weapons of all different sorts, to fighting skills.

My mom and I moved around all the time because we were hunting. Hunting a the vampire that killed my dad a couple months ago. You see, I grew up knowing about the supernatural, and learning how to hunt evil sons of bitches down, and how to kill them, and a couple months ago my dad was killed by a vampire. My mom and I have been tracking the damn thing ever since.

“Hey watch it!” A voice snarled at me when my shoulder brushed against someone else's. I sighed, and rolled my eyes, continuing my way down the halls. Luckily for me, school had just gotten out, so it looks like my wish will come true. I hurried for the exit, the smell of dirty socks, and axe cologne sprayed by jocks wafting into my nose.

I shook my head in disgust, and quickened my pace, reaching the outdoor world, and sighing in delight. “Freedom,” I mumbled, beginning to walk down the steps that lead to the streets of Little rock Arkansas. I adjusted the strap of my backpack on my shoulder, and pulled down my hood slightly, not liking being exposed to people's vision.

As I was about to walk forward, when I heard a shrill yell. Instantly, my hunter skills kicked in, and I spun around in time to see a boy, not much older than me, getting dragged behind the school. I felt a feeling of hatred spread through me. If there was one thing I despised just as much as monsters, it was bullies.

I silently followed them, and saw four large muscular jocks picking on the boy. The boy was fighting back, pretty well, but against four big guys, he was outnumbered. I dropped my backpack, and glared at the scene unraveling before me. “Hey!” I yelled. The guys stopped, and turned to look at me. “Leave him alone,”

The guy that had the kid in a choke hold scoffed, and looked me up and down. “Little new girl and little new boy teaming up. How cute,” He said. I sighed, and took a step forward. “I said, leave him alone,” I growled. Two of the guys came up to me, and stood menacingly in front of me. I huffed out a laugh.

“Listen boys, I don't wanna hurt your pretty little asses,” I said. The guys burst out laughing, not thinking little old me could do anything. “Don't say I didn't warn you,” I muttered, and with that, I jumped up, roundhouse kicking one of them straight in the jaw, and sending him tumbling to the ground. The other one didn't get a chance to process what happened because I punched him in the gut, then grabbed him,and kneed him in the balls.

The third one's eyes were wide, and the one holding the boy, dropped him. “What the hell...” He whispered. I rushed forward, and tackled them both to the ground, but one of them managed to kick me in the side. I grunted, but jumped back up, only to receive a punch in the face. I cursed, and spit out blood from my busted lip on the ground.

“So ya wanna play rough...Alright,” I hissed, and lunged forward, taking one of the guys, and throwing him against the brick wall of the school. I turned to face the last guy I had, only to see the kid had punched him in the nose, and kicked his stomach. “You're freaks! Both of you!” one of them called, as the four little bitches scrambled away.

I sighed, and turned to the boy. He wasn't that badly injured, just a bruise on his cheek bone, and cut up knuckles from were he let some of his punches fly. “Hey, are you ok?” He spoke. I laughed dryly. “I should be asking you that,” I said. He nodded slightly, and licked his lips. “Uh...Thanks...For that. How'd you learn to fight like that?” He asked.
