I was just a messed up human. Definitely nothing special. I lived a boring life as a Starbucks cashier, dreaming of a better world, but nope. I was stuck with dealing with the crabbiest people on an every day basis. Working the morning shift, meant facing the monsters people where without having caffeine running through their system.

Today was no different than every other day, except for the fact I was the crabby one. Yesterday, my family disowned me for not agreeing with their religion. They where extremely christian, and I grew up to be christian, but I had recently been questioning whether god was right to through Lucifer out of heaven the way he did.

My parents where furious, and they said they hated me, and never wanted to see my sinful face again. I stayed up crying the whole night. I called my boss, and asked for the day off, but he told me I had to come in...Gave me no sympathy what so ever. I was so angry with the world, I threw my phone and broke it.

I ended up walking to work, since I couldn't catch a taxi. To make matters worse, it was storming, and I was sobbing. I didn't have an umbrella, plus it was fifty degree weather. So here I was, looking and feeling like complete shit.

The bell atop the door suddenly rang, and in walked a man with sandy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a scowl on his face. Just what I needed. “Hello sir. May I help you?” I asked, putting on a fake smile, and trying to focus. He sat down at a table, and glared at me. I took a breath to keep myself from snapping.

“A worthless ape like you would never be able to help me,” I heard the man hiss. Under his breath. That was when I lost it. I let out a scream of frustration, and yanked off my apron, throwing it on the ground, and jumping over the counter, and tromping over to the man's table.

“Listen here you jack ass. My day's been shit, and I don't need to deal with your pissy ass attitude! I don't care who you are, but I am in no mood to have to listen to a bratty bastard come and call me an ape. I'm a human being thank you very much, and I hate to break it to you, but you are too!” I screamed, tears pouring down my face.

The man stared at me with huge eyes. It looked like he had never been spoken to like this in his entire life. I stood straighter, and yelled to the kitchen. “I QUIT!” Before sticking my nose in the air, and walking clear out of Starbucks. Before I could get any further, my arm was grabbed and I was spun around to face the dude I just yelled at.

“You think you can talk to me like that? Do you know who I am?!” He yelled, his eyes filled with anger. I was so emotionally ruined to be scared like I probably should have been. “Like I made clear before, I don't give a flying fuck who you are!” I seethed, shoving him off me, and stomping out of the coffee shop. I heard footsteps following me, and turned to see the ass hole following me. “What the hell is your problem!?” I cried, tears still cascading down my cheeks.

“You! You and the rest of your insignificant kind are my problem!” He yelled, grabbing me and pinning me to a wall. “I could easily kill you right here, and now,” He spat, his eyes seeming to get fiery. Again, I was much to emotional to be scared. “I don't fear death. In fact, please! End my life! I'm sick of it all!”

The man looked at me in surprise. “What?” He asked. “Kill me!” I exclaimed, feeling myself collapse into tears, unable to deal with life anymore. The man's grip loosened on me, until I fell to the ground sobbing. I stayed there for what felt like years, until my sobs subsided. When I finally calmed down, I looked up, only to jump in surprise upon seeing grumpy pants still standing there.

“What?” I spluttered. The man now had a look of slight confusion on his face. “Why would you desire death?” He asked, looking truly curious. “Wouldn't you if the people you love, and look up to disowned you?!” I hiccuped, wiping vigorously at my eyes.

Again, this seem to surprise the man, even more. He took a step back, and stared at me. “Now what?!” I cried, leaning against the wall. The man kneeled down and looked at me with...Not sympathy, but empathy, as if he knew what I was feeling. “Your family kicked you out?” He asked, and I glared. “Why do you care?!”

“Because mine did the same,” He stated. I kept my eyes focused on him. “Well I bet it wasn't for sympathizing with the devil,” I muttered, trying to scare him off. This only seemed to intrigue him. “What?” He asked, looking genuinely surprised. “My family's a bunch of God worshipers, and I started to think maybe God was wrong for pushing out Lucifer the way he did...And why the hell am I telling you this?” I said, standing.

The man stood also, grabbing my wrist, softly this time. “Why would you think that? Most people...Are disgusted by m-Lucifer,” The man spoke. I didn't know why, but I answered. “Because his only sin was loving too much. God kicked him out for not loving humans...Who would love us?! We're flawed, and...and damned,” I said, glaring at the ground.

The man tilted my head up to look at him. “What's your name?” He asked. “Y/N,” I muttered. “Hello Y/N. My name is Lucifer, and I am the devil,” I stared at this lunatic before scoffing, and shoving him off me. “Now you're making fun of me!” I cried, and began walking off. All of a sudden, the man appeared in front of me...Out of thin air.

“I am not lying to you,” He said, and I jumped back in surprise. “What the-” There was a flash of light, and I was able to see the shadow of eight wings spread behind his back. I froze, and saw his eyes flash a bright eery blue color. “Holy hell,” I muttered. “Holy, not so much. Hell, definitely,” He said, and smirked.

He suddenly snapped his fingers, and our surroundings changed. Instead of outside Starbucks, we where in a large room the colors red, and beige. It was extremely elegant, and quite luxurious. “Welcome to hell Y/N. Well...My part of hell,” I stared at the man. “You....You really...You really a-are Lucifer,” I muttered, completely dumbstruck.

Lucifer nodded, and opened the curtain of a window, revealing a hideous, torturous landscape. “Hell?” I squeaked. He nodded, and closed the curtain. My head started to spin, and I sat down, in shock. “Why? Why did you bring me here? Does this mean I'm dead?” I asked. Lucifer came in front of me, and looked into my eyes.

“No. It means I've decided to make you my queen. You and I are similar Y/N, and I want to show you we don't have to be cast aside like garbage. I want to show you we too are important,” He said. I stared into his eyes. “So will you rule hell beside me?” I don't know what came over me. Maybe it was the fact I knew what he felt, or the fact I sensed a strange attraction towards him, but I said yes.
