Chapter 32.

Kayla's POV:

"Well, watch it, I am dangerous," I said as I pushed Draco to the wall with my index finger. I smirked and walked, flipping my hair over my shoulder with a wave of my hand. I went to the common room, as I had a free period, and it was completely empty. I sat in front of the fire.

I lifted the sleeve of my school cardigan, only to see the Dark Mark I had received days earlier. It was even uglier than I thought it would be. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt or burn like I thought it would.

I looked at it for a moment before pulling down my sleeve. Draco suddenly appeared in the doorway, and he came and sat next to me.

"What was that about before in the halls?" he asked.

"I don't know, I just felt like it, plus now you know what I am capable of. So, I suggest that you don't bother me if I tell you to go away." I smirked.

"Would you really do that to me, the one and only Draco Malfoy?" he asked.

"Yes." I smiled and watched his grin fall. "I'm kidding!" I said punching him on the side of his shoulder playfully.

"Good." He pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead.

"Draco?"

"Mmm?"

"Have you done your first task?" I whispered.

"No, I haven't been assigned one yet," he replied.

"Don't you get to choose your task?" I asked.

"No, did you get to choose yours?" he said in response.

"Yeah. I wonder why you don't get to choose your task..."

"I don't know why, but apparently Voldemort is choosing my task for me," he said.

"Voldemort is choosing your task? But why? When did you become a Death Eater?" I inquired.

"During the summer holidays, how about you?" he asked.

"Same time. Your task must be very important if you don't know it yet, and Voldemort is choosing it himself," I said. Just then a whole bunch of students filed into the common room. Draco and I weren't alone anymore.

"Hello, lovebirds," Blaise said, coming over to us.

"Actually, we aren't lovebirds," I said modestly. "We're humans," I added quietly.

"Really? Then why is it that Draco only talks of you?" he asked, grinning. Apparently, he didn't hear my comment.

"Well, Draco is in love with me but hasn't told me, so we aren't dating, I guess." I shrugged.

Draco glared at Blaise. I giggled and went to get up.

"Where are you going?" Draco asked.

"D.E.," I said and walked off. I had a few questions to ask professor Snape. I knocked on his door, classes were over so he let me in.

"What is it, Hex?" he said.

"Well, I was just wondering if there are any other Death Eaters at this school. And when is the meeting at Draco's house?" I asked.

"You and Malfoy are the only Death Eaters, so you need to be extra careful about who you spend your time with. The meeting at Malfoy Manor will be held in a month's time where your parents will have a reason for you both to be out of school," the professor said.

"Thank you, professor."

For once he didn't scare me. I walked out and went back to the common room, and as soon as I got into the common room, all I could hear were all the girls fussing over Draco. I rolled my eyes and walked over to him. I disliked most of the girls, so I kissed Draco and they went away, upset.

"What did you do that for?" he asked.

"They were annoying me."

"I think you are jealous," he said, smirking.

"Really? Now, if I were jealous do you think I would do this?"

I turned to face Blaise and kissed him on the lips, I even wrapped my arms around his neck. I did not like Blaise, but I wanted to make Draco jealous, plus I knew that Blaise wouldn't object to being kissed by me. Draco face filled with rage. I smirked and left to the Great Hall for some dinner.
