Chapter 44.
Draco's POV:
I let her leave and she went out the door to go get ready for the day. Luckily, it was a weekend, so we had all day today and tomorrow for ourselves. I got changed into my usual black suit.
Once I was ready, I went out into the common room. I immediately saw Kayla sitting by the fire. She was wearing black ripped jeans and red cropped top. She looked amazing like always.
"Damn," I said as I walked up to her.
"Why, thank you. You don't look too bad yourself, Malfoy." She got up and took my hand.
We walked out of the common room and down to the Great Hall. I took a seat beside Blaise and Kayla's hand gripped mine underneath the table. We ate our breakfast and then headed to the library to talk and pretend to study.
"Do you know what you're going to do about Dumbledore?" Kayla asked.
I hesitated. Father had actually sent me a letter with different ways to kill him without using the unforgivable curses.
"I saw these different things that I could do, like tricking a student into giving him a cursed necklace or getting one of the teachers into drinking poisoned firewhisky with him. I'm not sure yet, but I'll figure something out."
"I know you will. I believe in you, Draco," Kayla answered, giving me a reassuring smile.
Her smile had the ability to make anyone feel warm and fuzzy inside, and that's exactly what happened. I've fallen hard for this girl.
