5 and a half more months left

Chapter 68.

Draco's POV:

I was talking with my parents about how Kayla was pregnant, they were happy about it. They couldn't wait.

"How much longer till the baby is born?" my mother asked.

"5 and a half more months left, I hope that the world is better by then, so then our child will be safe." I replied.

"We hope that too." my father said.

A few minutes later Kayla came out of the meeting room and came to sit with us. She looked shocked and slightly pale, but if you didn't know her as well as I do, you wouldn't have noticed.

"Are you okay Kayla?" I asked bringing her into a hug.

"Um, I'm not sure, when I figure it out I will let you know." she said.

"What happened? Did he hurt you?" I asked worriedly.

"No, he told me I am related to him, my mother is his sister." she whispered to me.

"I'm so sorry," I kissed her head and hugged her tighter.

I was quite shocked but I didn't want to show it, I just wanted to comfort her. "Is he making you do anything you don't want to do?" I asked.

"No, but he knows, he knows about us, and the baby, apparently he wants to keep me safe so I am to stay in The Room of Requirements during the battle." she told me.

"I'm glad he wants to keep you safe but let me guess, it isn't because he really cares about your safety, it is because you are important in succeeding in winning the war." I guessed.

"Yep, pretty much, it sounds like I am what he needs to win the war. But I don't want to be on his side. I really don't." she said upset. Tears started to form in the brim of her eyes.

"Don't cry, I will protect you and keep you safe, I promise, I won't let anything bad happen to you or the baby. Everything is going to be okay, Kitten, I promise." I said soothingly.

I didn't realise until a little later that my parents were still in the room.

"I love you Draco." she kissed me on the cheek.

"I love you too Kayla,"

"Draco, can we speak with you for a minute, alone?" my mother asked.

"Sure, I will be back soon Kayla. Go on up to my room and i will be there in a minute." I told her.

I walked out with my parents, they looked concerned.

"Draco, she cannot fight, you have to make sure she stays in the Room of Requirement. You are the only one she will listen to. Also, we are very happy for you and Kayla. I was wondering if you were going to get married after the war?" my mother asked.

"I haven't thought about it too much because, well, I don't want to get my hopes up and I have been busy trying to stay alive and not displease the Dark Lord, so I don't know. I will keep her safe, I promise. I am going to go get her and we will go back to Hogwarts, everyone still mostly trusts her because they just think she is with a Death Eater, not that she is a Death Eater herself." I told them.

"Alright, stay safe Draco, and remember your father and I love you." my mother said as I went upstairs to find Kayla.

As I told her to do, she was in my room, she was still sobbing slightly.

"Kayla, come here, let's go back to Hogwarts, I will keep you safe." she ran into my arms and held me tight.

"Draco, I'm scared, what if something does happen." she asked.

"I told you, nothing is going to happen, you and I will stay safe. When the Dark Lord calls us we do as he says, but until he does we keep everyone around us safe. We will fight a bit and keep Potter alive to make sure Voldemort dies. Everything will be fine in the end, even if there is a rocky path to get there." I said.

We apparated into the Room of Requirement. We slid out and went to our dorm room. When we entered the common room everyone turned to us. Since professor Snape had been made headmaster, Death eaters swamped the place, and Harry told everyone that I was a Death Eater. But Harry had disappeared now, I just hope he would be back in time to save the world, well for his friends to save the world.

"What are you looking at?" I snapped at them.

They all flicked thier heads to look away from us. Kayla rushed away from my side to Evie.

"Evie, where is Ginny, we NEED to talk. It can't wait." Kayla said urgently.

"She's b-being t-tortured by the Carrows." Evie let out her sobs and tears streamed down her face.

"Come with me." Kayla said taking her hand.

"Draco, do you think everyone will know I am you-know-who's niece? Because I am going to use it to my advantage." she whispered in my ear so no one would hear but me.

"I think he would have told them all, otherwise they might do something to you." I whispered back.

She smiled and left with Evie.
