Chapter 53.

Draco's POV:

Kayla had snapped at Blaise and me half an hour ago, then she didn't come back. I still have no idea why she was suddenly grumpy. She was perfectly fine when we were coming here, and then few seconds later she is yelling at us and getting all mad. Sometimes she made no sense. If fact, girls in general make no sense.

"I am going to look for Kayla," I told Blaise.

Blaise and I had pretty much stopped fighting. He knew I was annoyed at him for when Kayla kissed him, but it wasn't his fault, I guess.

"Okay, see you later."

As soon as I walked out of the Great Hall, I felt someone bump into me.

"Watch where yo--"

I stopped when I looked down and saw Kayla.

"Oh Kayla, it's you." I took her hand and pulled her up.

"Hey, Draco. Sorry for getting mad at you before. I don't know why I did. I'm sorry." She smiled and gave me a hug.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, while hers were around my neck.

"Don't worry about it. Blaise and I deserved it. Now, would you like to accompany me to Hogsmeade?" I asked. "Also, can you remind me to get candy for Evie and Ginny?"

"I would love to accompany you to Hogsmeade. And will remind you. If I don't we might both end up dead." She laughed and let go of me and took my hand instead.

We walked to Hogsmeade and went into Honeydukes first. I got the candy for Evie and Ginny. I then brought us some Fizzing Whizbees for us to share. After we were done in Honeydukes, Kayla wanted to go look at clothes in Gladrags Wizardwear. We went in and immediately Kayla picked up items of clothes to go try on. She took them to the changing rooms and was about to get changed.

"Mind if I Slytherin, with you?" I asked. I know it is cheesy but still, I had to try.

"Yes, I do mind." And with that she shut the door to get changed.

"It was worth a try." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"In your dreams, Malfoy," she laughed.

"Well, dreams can come true, you know."

"Well mine hasn't," Kayla said from behind the changing room doors.

"And what might yours be?"

"For you to shut up. Just kidding. I don't really have a dream, I guess. I mean. I want to become an auror, but since stuff has happened I doubt that is going to happen," Kayla said.

"Very funny," I said.

Kayla came out wearing a long sleeved purple dress and some black tights.

"Damn, you look good," I said

"Why, thank you, Malfoy. Zip me up, will you?" she said, turning around.

"Of course, m'lady." I laughed.

She looked in the mirror and then decided if she was going to get it or not.

"I will get it. Hey, Draco, what would you like for your birthday?" she asked.

My birthday was in three days, so it only made sense that she would ask.

"You, I just want you." I smirked.

"You're so sweet. Who knew this charming jerk could be a romantic?" She blushed.

"Wow, very funny. I am being nice here and you have to joke around?" I shook my head and laughed.

"No, but seriously, what do you want?" she asked again.

"I already told you, I want you," I repeated.

"Fine, I will find you a gift without your help."

She walked back into the changing room and got changed back into what she was wearing before. She came out and went up to the counter.

"I will take these please," she said to the woman at the counter.

She paid for the dress, even though I told her I would pay, but she refused.

Once she had brought the items, we went out of the shop and went into The Three Broomsticks for some butterbeer. I ordered the butterbeer then went and at down with Kayla.
