I woke up to the soft sound of the bell this morning. Before I looked at the phone, I had trouble waking up, as if my eyes were glued together. I tried opening them again, but after a five minute struggle I felt myself fall asleep again, my body slowly giving in to the sweet embrace of my warm blanket. I turned to the side and fell asleep again, my mind gradually sinking to my deep dreams.

After what I thought were thirty minutes, I opened my eyes, this time successfully. I looked at my phone screen and saw the familiar screen of choices.

Get late for school or pass my next exam? Pff, this should be easy.

I pressed my choice of passing my exam and suddenly the screen went black again. Not long after that it turned on again and it was then that I realised something. I was really late for school. Like, really late. Two hours late.

I quickly got ready, surprised by the fact that my mom didn't scream at my door in a dire attempt to wake me up. As I was walking down the stairs I slipped and fell down the whole way, scraping my knee. I didn't even bother to tend to the wound and quickly went out the door. I was practically running from my place to the bus and then the bus towards the school. It was on my way towards the gates that I realised a dark silhouette coming my way from the opposite direction. I wanted to ignore it, but it was also running towards the school gates, or at least I thought it was?

Without giving it a second glace, I ran towards the gates and into school grounds, resting for a bit to catch my breath.

"Shit!" I cursed under my breath as I felt my wound beginning to sting.

No time for that, I need to get to class.

I bolted up the stairs and gently knocked on the front door of my class waiting for a reply. I heard my teacher's soft reply and entered, bowing and apologising for my absence. Thank God she didn't want to make a fuss out of it, so she let me slide this time. I let out a sigh of relief.

I ghosted my way towards my desk when suddenly a certain someone caught my attention. That chestnut hair, those defined muscles... his round face looked sharp at this angle, his jawline being a prominent features of his side profile . What the hell was Jungkook doing here?

I leaned to the side towards one of my classmates and handed her a note, asking about the new member of the class. When she handed me the note back, I quickly unfolded it eager for answers. Turns out his class was under construction, so his group was scattered around other classrooms of the same grade.

I see, so I'm stuck with him until his classroom gets ready. Great...

First period finished and everyone stood up, everyone except Jungkook and myself. We sat there until everyone left, then he turned to my direction and flickered his eyebrows.

"Guess I'm stuck with you for a while." He remarked and shrugged with one shoulder. "Might as well make it fun." He said and stood up, walking my way. He slammed his hands on my desk, causing me to flinch, his fingers spreading across the top. He leaned closer, close enough to make a statement. His eyes narrowed, a shadow covering his face. I know these eyes. The eyes of a bully.

Suddenly, out of the blue, he started laughing. It didn't seem forced or sinister, so it led me to smile myself.

"What's so funny?" I asked, biting my bottom lip so I could stop laughing. Jungkook calmed down a little and straightened back up.

"I'm sorry. It's just that you looked ready to fight me." He replied and dragged a chair in front of my desk and sat down. "Listen, I want you to hear me out." He started and took a deep breath, a nervous chuckle escaping him. "I wanted to apologise about how I acted the other day. I wasn't myself. Something happened and it drove me insane." He explained and an apologetic grin popped on his face.

I smiled and stood up, walking around my desk and leaning against the one beside me so I can be next to Jungkook. It was then that he saw my injury and his face completely froze, his body jerked, leading him to stand up. I frowned at the sudden reaction. He had his eyes glued to my knee, a look of terror strapped on his face.

Jungkook took a step backwards and stumbled over the desk behind him. He turned around and headed for the door.

"I.. I need to... I need to get some fresh air." He stuttered and ran outside.

I raised my eyebrows in confusion and decided to head out. It was then that I opened the door and felt it hit someone. I looked behind it and saw a young man rubbing his forehead.

"I'm sorry!" I apologised, not knowing what else to say or do. He looked young, but mature at the same time.

He slowly put down his hand and looked at me, his eyes widened in surprise. "Oh! It's running girl!" He exclaimed, his cheeks and ears slowly turning the light shade of pink. "I'm sorry! It's just that I saw you running this morning." He explained and laughed nervously, his beautifully rose plump lips stretching into a grin. He dragged his hand through his raven black hair and his flowery aroma hit my senses. "Let's restart this." He said and stepped to the side, away from the door. "Hello, I'm Park Jimin." He introduced himself and nodded with his head slightly.

"Hi, I'm Cho MinJee." I mumbled and awkwardly waved my hand after I bowed respectively.

"Nice to meet you!" Jimin smiled and waved back. "I have important business to attend to, so I have to go." He quickly said and hurried down the corridor.

I heard the bell, but once again when I checked my phone, there was no notification.
