I knew it was selfish.
My fingers hovered over the screen, my mind going completely blank.
But I knew better.
I pressed for them to be together, after all, they're made for eachother. My heart was shattering yet my mind was set to ease. I let out a sigh, the stress leaving me slowly, a faint smile appearing on my face.

"Shit!" Someone shouted in frustration from the other side of the metal door. A thud was heard, as if something heavy was pushed to the ground. "Shit." They repeated this time calmer, but angrier. It was a male voice, it's tone sounded familiar to my ears, but it sounded different at the same time. Like, I knew that voice but this time it's heavier, deeper, more mature. Nah, I must be imagining it. That person should definetly not be alive.
"What do you think happened?" Teahyung asked, raising his brows in worry while nodding towards the door.
"I don't know." I whispered back.
We've been stuck here for about a full day probably, no food, no water. It's the middle of the night of the next day and this is the first time we hear any other noise except our own breathing. We tried screaming, but no one came for help.
A soft click caught out attention.
The door was slowly opening and a tall man entered, his body walking around like a shadow. He stopped for a moment and the lights came to life, causing me to squint. When my eyes finally adjusted to the light, I immediately searched for the man. Turns out he was standing in front of me, his back facing me. He was covering my view of Taehyung, but judging from his hand movements, he was trying to open something. The sound of a can opening and then the smell of tuna led me to believe that he's finally letting us eat.
"Who the fuck are you?" Teahyung growled. The man did not answer and continued to struggle with the can of tuna. After he successfully opened it, I saw him pull out a plastic spoon and then he attempted to feed Taehyung, who refused to open his mouth.
"Come on, dude. You used to be so chill around me." The kidnapper finally spoke with an annoyed tone. His shoulders dropped and took a step to the side, sliding the can on the small table beside Teahyung. When I closely examined him, Teahyung's rage filled glare transformed into confusion. He squinted his eyes to take a better look at the man and finally a faint gasp escaped him. All colour drained from his body.
"It can't be you." He stuttered, his eyes becoming puppy like. "You-"
"Yeah yeah, I know." The man interrupted him and raised his index finger to sign him to shut up. "Took you long enough, but let's see if he'd recognise me." He uttered and slowly turned around.
It took me a moment. Actually, I'm ashamed it took me some time to recognise him. That voice... it really did mature.
"Surprised? I know." He scoffed. "I'm the last person someone thought of in this mess, eventhough it all started because of me." He rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Well, you guys started it because of me." He corrected himself. "I never asked for this. All I wanted was to die in peace, but you never let me."
"How... how could I let you die?" I asked in shock after a long pause. I really didn't know what to say or think. The fact that he stood in front of me baffled me.
That man mirrored my expression, eyebrows raised in shock, mouth wide open. "How? Did you really just ask that?" He panted and slapped his chest. "You know what?" He began and closed his eyes, his back sliding down the wall, his hands covered his face. "All I wanted in my life was to disappear and you took that away from me. I had my chance and you freaking blew it."
Shaking his head in disappointment, he stood up and walked towards me. With a mocking smile he patted my head as if I was a small boy and taunted. "I guess this time I'm the one giving you a lesson."
It was too late, he was already closing the door when I regained my senses. The shock was too great to handle, I didn't know how to respond.
"See you soon," he began before fully closing the door, "Dad." He whispered and slammed the door behind him, leaving me alone with all my mixed emotions.
