It's been around two days since I stayed at Hoseok's place.
He initially thought that I would run away the next day and was overjoyed that I stayed. To be honest, I was really going to get away because the guilt of burdening him with myself was too great, but I thought that cleaning the place and preparing him food for when he comes would be a nice idea. I was just about to leave when he came home and met his apartment all tidy and sparkling. The way his eyes were glowing, his bright smile and giggles nudged me to stay a little longer. I gave myself a limit of a week, that's how much I'll stay before I go and see my own worries.
Speaking of worries, the game hasn't done anything in those two days. Everything has been silent, calm and most importantly, peaceful. I checked my phone and yet again ignored all messages I received from either Jungkook or Namjoon. Those two texted me daily, yet I ignored them because I thought I'd be better off without troubling anyone else. Don't get me started about the group that they made. I have at least a hundred massages and two missed group calls. In. Two. Days.
When I picked up the phone, I initially thought of finally answering their calls, but something else caught my attention. Just next to my phone was a Polaroid photo I hadn't noticed of Hoseok and another, shorter, man with jet black hair. He had a gummy smile, his eyes barely visible. He had this warm, soft aura radiating from him. The sun was hitting both of their faces, enhancing Hoseoks caramel skin, but contrasting the other man's pale tone. They were on the beach, each one of them wearing shorts and a soaked t-shirt, an inflatable ball separating them from completely hugging each other's sides. I couldn't stare at the photo and not smile. Both of their smiles were pretty contagious.
Just then the door bell rang and I immediately ran to open it expecting Hoseok to come home, but when I pulled the door, a man with a black hoodie on was standing in front of me.
"May I help you?" I asked politely.
"Who are you?" He asked and raised his head slightly. It was then that I could finally see his face and was left surprised when it was the same man from the picture. It was definitely him, but his vibe was completely different now. His eyes squinted, his jaw tightened. I could see that his body tensed up even though he was wearing an oversized black hoodie.
"Excuse me?" I asked and furrowed my brows.
"I asked who are you? What are you doing at Hobi's place?" He gave me a dirty look and crossed his hands in front of his chest. "A murderer? A thief? A spy?" He continued on with the suggestions until he gasped and clenched his hand on top of where his heart should be. "His girlfriend? Lover?!" My face heated up at those suggestions. I don't blush easily, but when I do I turn into a tomato. "Oh god! Is that a blush I'm seeing?" He exclaimed and suddenly the man I saw in the picture made an appearance. He smiled and cupped his own face. "It was about time!" The man clasped his hands together and pushed me to the side so he could come in.
I quietly followed him like a cat towards the living room until he pulled out a chair from the table and sat on it, his face rested on his palm. He signed me to sit down and asked if I could explain how it happened.
"What happened?" I repeated as I nibbled on my lower lip.
"How should I know? You're the one dating him. I wanna know details!" He eagerly asked.
"Oh..." A flush crept on my face again when realization hit me. "It's not what you think, we're not together. Hoseok took me in two days ago."
"What do you mean took you in?" He asked and leaned forward. "Hoseok isn't that type of person." Growered his face, I bit the inside of my cheek, my mouth unable to retell what happened that day.
"I... I was out and... well, it was nighttime and it was getting cold. Hoseok took the time to bring me to his house and let me stay the night. Well, it's been two days now, but I promise I'll leave soon. I just... just need time to find a place to settle in. I don't know... I haven't thought it through." I stuttered and lowered my gaze. I heard him sigh and a hand was placed on my shoulder. I looked up only to see him next to me, bending down so we could be at the same eye level.
"You can stay here." He softly whispered and his lips curled into a smile. I smiled too and replied.
"But this is Hoseok's place, he's the one that has a say in this."
"He already took you in. He's not gonna let you leave." He assured me and patted my shoulder.
"What makes you so sure?" The man straightened up and stretched his body, a yawn escaping his mouth. He then looked at me with his dark eyes and shrugged.
"I don't know. Maybe he's that type of person." He replied and walked towards the couch. He jumped on it and laid down, his feet barely reaching the end of it. "He may not be the type to open up to anyone, but once he does, please don't delete the previous image you had of him." He added and raised up a thumbs up. "Good luck!"
It was silent but all of a sudden...
*ring*
My phone buzzed, but so did his.
