I died. Again
I looked around the empty room with the empty shelves. The lonely bed with the lonely man. The broken heart within the broken soul...
Never leave me alone ecoed through the walls. I turned to my side and gazed upon the empty place beside me. Once, the love of my life layed here, but now? Nothing but cold and darkness.
Yes, I remember.
What I had experienced before was a lie, a truth that only he believed in. I feel pity towards him, yet vengeful at the same time.
How could he do this to me?
To MinJee?
To Chiwon?
Slowly, I stood up and went to investigate the apartment. The more I came back here, the more this place dies out. The walls become colder, the colours dry out, the soul of the house just fades away. I need to get things back as they used to be before, but I know that that could never happen. Not after what I did to him. I mistakenly chose to kill him off out of rage and now I deeply regret it. The more we get back to this point, the more he gets sick. I doubt he'll survive another reincarnation, that's why I have to settle this right now.
Just as I was about to head out, someone knocked on the door. I opened it and there stood Taehyung, head hung low, fists tight beside him. I welcomed him and he silently walked in. The moment I closed the door, Taehyung went down on his knees and begged for forgiveness. He was crying... no weeping. I tried to force him to get up, but he refused.
"I need to say this!" He said with determination. "I did some horrible things to MinJee. Things that she remembers and others that I made her forget. I could never face her after what I did to her, that's why I ran here as soon as I opened my eyes. As her husband-"
"You remember?" I cut him off. He raised his head, confused by my sudden interruption.
"What am I supposed to remember?" He asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"MinJee... she was married... married to... married to me, right?" I stuttered and fell on my knees, tears flooding down my cheek. "I... I'm not going... I'm not going crazy!" I rejoiced, pulling Teahyung closer to myself. I couldn't be happier. Finally, someone... someone that remembers.
"Yeah, who else should she be married to?" Taehyung pulled away to look me in the eyes.
"Well, don't you remember what Hobi did?" I asked, the smile I had fading away.
"Who?" He asked with genuine confusion.
