•Chapter 5•

Erika's POV:
I woke up earlier than everyone else and exuded to make breakfast for everyone, I put on a white crop top with leggings and did my casual makeup. I walked into the kitchen and started cooking waffles, I heard footsteps getting closer, I turned around in fear and screamed when out of nowhere Chance popped out from the corner. He rushed over to me covered my mouth with his hand.

C:Shhhh, everyone is sleeping!

I giggled at his comment before he removed his hands, I looked at his soft lips as he smiled, he noticed my actions and quickly pulled me closer, I let out a soft gasp before he pressed his lips on mine, our lips moved in sync before we pulled away and smiled.

E:Woah!
C:I've been wanting to that for so long!

I chuckled and then turned around to continue cooking breakfast for everyone, after 10 minutes everyone came downstairs and grabbed their waffles, I sat next to Tessa on the couch and whispered to her.

E:Chance kissed me!!
T:WHAT??!
E:Shhh!

I turned around to see everybody looking in our direction, I gave Tessa a death glare before everyone turned around again.

T:When?!
E:This morning!
T:Was it good?
E:Magical!!
T:Get some!!!

We both broke down laughing before we heard the door open and close but we just ignored it until we heard Jake scream.

J:LOGAN NO!!!

We turned around to see Logan throwing water on us, me and Tessa quickly ran up the stairs and tried to go into the closest room, Jake's! We fell in the doorway and dragged ourselves in closing the door behind us. We started drying ourselves when we heard footsteps getting closer.

J:NO LOGAN STOP THEY'L BE OUT WHEN THEY ARE READY!!
L:I'M JUST GONNA CHECK UP ON THEM!!

We finished drying up and stood up right before Logan turned the doorknob and opened the door, he looked shocked while Jake released a sigh of relief, Chance pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear.

C:That was close, are you ok?
E:Yea, relax!
C:I was so scared he would see something!
E:But he didn't, thanks to you guys!

I pulled away from him before kissing his forehead and walking back downstairs. I saw Tessa talking with Jake, probably about what just happened. I picked up the condiments off the table while Chance helped me with the dishes.

Tessa's POV:
After what happened I knew I had made the right choice by telling the Ohio trio about our secret, me and Jake were talking on the trampoline when Logan came downstairs vlogging, he said that he and Jake were going to do a challenge on who could swim faster, this would be interesting. They went to the backyard and I trailed behind them, I decided to have some fun, while they were doing it Jake was behind so I made the water go against Logan making him slow down and then when Jake was far ahead I let go and of course Jake won. After they dried off we watched some Netflix until Logan left, Chance and Erika came downstairs with us and we were eating grapes while chatting, Jake fed me a grape and I ate it before kissing him, we got interrupted by the door busting open with a gush of wind. Me and Erika jumped up and checked it out, I used my magic to reveal anything or anyone who was invisible, I saw three girls with the letters "DMP" tattooed on there arms, the Dark Mermaid Pod! A group of dark mermaids who were extremely dangerous to humans.

T:I can see all three of you, no need to hide!

They suddenly let go, making them visible again, they had evil grins plastered all over their faces as they stared at Jake and Chance who stayed in the living room.

E:JAKE CHANCE OFFICE NOW,DONT COME OUT TILL WE SAY SO!!
J:IM NOT LEAVING YOU GUYS!
T:BABY PLEASE JUST GO!!
E:WE WILL USE FORCE JAKE!!

They quickly ran in the office while me and Erika cast a protection spell and froze the door knob before facing the girls again.

T:Who are you guys?

The girl in the middle said her name was Katherine, the girl on the right was named Cassandra and the girl on the left was named Melanie.

T:What are you guys doing here?
K:We are here to deliver a message to you two hybrids!

Hybrids are mermaids that became mermaids but weren't born mermaids, they have all 3 powers while regular mermaids only have one. Mermaids are allowed to walk on land for an hour before their tails return unlike hybrids who have legs unless they touch some type of liquid.

E:From who?!
C:Aquata!!
M:You guys know who she is right?
T&E:Yes.

Aquata is an original mermaid, she's from the first family of mermaids, she split from them to create her own army of dark mermaids, the DMP, she is one of the most powerful mermaids alive apart from her sister the leader of the light mermaids.

T:What does she want?
K:She told us to tell you that she's coming for her son!
T&E:HER SON??!!
C:Yes her child!
E:What do we have anything to do with her son?!
M:You guys don't know do you?
T:Know what?
K:Jake is Aquata's son!

Me and Erika looked at each other in total disbelief! Jake is the son of the leader of the DMP!!

C:She will find him!
M:And when she does...
K:She will turn him into a merman!
T:Why?!
K:So he can take possession of the tritan and rule side by side with his mother, and once and for all the power and life off all mermaids will be at the palm of their hands!
C:We better be going the spell wears of in 15 minutes!
M:Take this as a warning!

They all turned around and left leaving me and Erika shocked, we didn't know what to do but we knew that if she gets to Jake our lives could be over!

T:What do we do?
E:We have to tell Jake!
T:Let's go and do this..

We broke the protection spell and unfroze the door knob........
