Huge Secrets//Team 10

•Chapter 8•

Tessa's POV:
I woke up in Jake's warm embrace and went into the bathroom to get dressed, I put on a cropped Jake Paul hoodie and put on some leggings, I straightened my hair and then I put some casual makeup on, I walked out and saw Jake already dressed, he was pacing back and forth which meant he was thinking, he hadn't seen me until I grabbed his hand, he looked down at me with his eyes filled with worry.

T:What are you thinking about?
J:Tonight...
T:We're going to do everything we can to keep you safe, I won't let her win this, even if I have to do this every full moon!

He smiled down at me and I kissed him and then hugged him tightly, he hugged back before I pulled away and went downstairs, I walked into the kitchen and made some eggs and bacon for everyone, I saw Chance and Erika come out of her room and then I saw Jake coming downstairs, everyone grabbed their plates and sat down to eat.

C:What's the plan for tonight?
T:Jake will be locked in his room with me and Erika outside the door incase she comes through the front door.
C:What do I do?
T:Hide.You hide and if they find you call out for us!

I looked at Erika with worried eyes, she was also worried.

T:We got this!
E:Yes we do!!

We finished our breakfast and Jake washed the plates while me and Erika went outside to the pool to practice some more.We were in the middle of practice when Erika spoke.

E:So you and Jake?
T:What?
E:Last night?

She nudged my shoulder and I blushed profusely she laughed and then focused on her practice.

T:Do you think we'll pull this off?
E:Definitely!

I smiled at her and she flashed a confident grin back at me.We continued practicing until 5 PM the sun would set in an hour. We all got in position, Chance kissed Erika before leaving to hide in the bathroom. Jake and I talked until the sun had set,any minute now! A gush if wind blew through the room as the window bust open, I used my magic to reveal where she was, she saw me look at her and became visible again. I moved Jake behind me and she got closer to me.

A:My son!!
J:Leave me alone, I don't want to control innocent people!
A:Sweetie you don't have a choice!!
T:ERIKA!!

Erika came bursting through the door and we both stared her down, she laughed before she reached her hand out for Jake, I mixed my fire and ice powers and shocked her with lightning making her stumble back onto the floor.

T:Jake run!

Jake quickly sprinted into the hallway and Erika slammed the door closed, Aquata stood up and extended her hand making the door open but Erika shut it again.

T:JUST LEAVE JAKE ALONE HE DOESNT WANT TO GO WITH YOU HE WANTS TO STAY HERE WITH HIS FRIENDS AND WITH M-

She cut me off by throwing me to the other side of the room, my head hit the wall and everything faded black.

Erika's POV:
I had to continue fighting I couldn't give up now, I look at Tessa's limp body and then back at Aquata, rage overtakes my body and fuels me with energy, I clump my hand into a fist and set Aquata aflame, she reaches for the water but I freeze it, she melts it and it falls on her putting her out, she extends her arm and lifts me up, I feel my airway closing as she chokes me. I use all the strengths I have to shock her hand with lightning making her let go of me.

Tessa's POV:
I open my eyes to see Erika being choked, I look at her and transfer some energy to her before I limp into the bathroom and whisper to the boys.

J:What's going on, are you ok?
T:You guys need to go into the library, and look for a b-book named m-mermaids you     p-pull it and g-go inside d-don't come out t-till we say so!

Chance immediately runs to the library while Jake kisses me before leaving, I fall to the floor again and then I limp back into the room to see Aquata being shocked by lightning, I then use whatever strengths I have left to slam her against the wall, she falls to the floor and Erika shocks her again, she looks at the clock and then looks back up at us, she lifts us up and walks out into the hallway, and slams Erika into the floor and then she slams me onto the stairwell, I roll down the stairs and see her walk out and run into the beach as her legs turn into tails, I try getting up but I can't even move, I hear Erika get up and she comes over to me.

T:G-Get the boys they are in t-the h-hideout!

She runs in and call out for them, Chance immediately pulls Erika into a warm embrace while Jake rushes down the stairs, I pull myself up but then fall down again, tears stream down my face due to the pain that I'm feeling. I feel Jake pick me up and set me down gently in the pool, I transform into a mermaid and tend to my injuries while Erika helps.

J:What happened?
E:She took a really bad hit, first your mom slammed her across the room and into the wall  causing her to black out, then when she wakes up she uses all her strength to slam your mom against the wall and then your mom slams her against the staircase and she fell. She's so brave and I'm so proud of her.
C:You also look beaten up and oh my gosh your neck!
E:She choked me but I managed to shock her, I wouldn't have been able to do it if it weren't for Tessa, she gave me the energy.
T:If she wouldn't have ran out of time she would have killed us!! We need to be stronger!

Me and Erika get out of the pool and dry off, Jake picks me up and carries me up to his room, he sits me down on the bed.

J:Tessa I don't ever want to see you like that ever again!!
T:I don't have a choice baby!
J:I know,I know....
T:I want you to know that today was just the beginning, we will get through this together, I promise!

I pulled Jake closer to me and pressed my lips onto his, he kissed back instantly, he starts to kiss down my neck and sucks on it leaving hickeys, I hear the high pitched noise again but I ignore it, but then it got louder and I couldn't take it anymore, I pushed him off me and closed my ears and screamed in pain, I ran out of the room and I fell to the floor in pain, Jake called Erika and she looked at me, she also fell to the floor and whimpered in pain covering her ears, because she heard it too, Jake backed up and we heard her.

A:You haven't won, until I've lost!! I will get my son!!
T:Over my dead body!!
E:We will keep fighting you!!
A:Then I guess I'll have to kill both of you!! Gotta blast, don't have too much fun with my son you little hybrid!!

The noise suddenly stopped and me and Erika looked at each other with worried faces and frowns, Chance held her hand and helped her off the floor and into her room, Jake looks at me and then helps me up before taking me into his room again, we cuddle before falling asleep.
