•Chapter 19•

Tessa's POV:
I woke up and got ready for the day, I walked downstairs and ate some breakfast that Tristan had made. He went out with Alex to film a video so I decided to watch some T.V. I grabbed a bottle of water then I my phone started ringing, Erika wanted to Facetime, I answered and waved at her as I sipped some water.

E:Hey!
T:Hello!
E:When are you planning on coming back?
T:Honestly I don't know probably soon, I don't know how I feel about Jake....
E:Try using your Celestial Energy, that could help?
T:You're right!

I unfolded my hand but nothing happened, I tried again and nothing happened, I closed my eyes to channel Jake but I couldn't, I started crying into a tissue as I realized what had happened.

E:What's wrong T?
T:Our connection.....it's broken........

I cried some more as Erika got up and left, a few minutes later she came back.

E:Jake can't use it either Tess....

I hung up on her and continued crying, why did our connection break?

Erika's POV:
I walked downstairs and found Jake making out with some random girl, I grabbed him from her.

J:What the hell Erika?!
E:You can leave now!

I told the girl, she rolled her eyes and walked out the door and slammed it shut, I turned back to Jake and shook my head.

J:Why did you do that Erika?!!
E:Try using your Celestial Energy!
J:What?
E:Just do it!!

He tried and tried but he couldn't , I looked away and shook my head.

E:She's right....
J:Who is? What?
E:Tessa..... she said your connection was broken!

I walked back upstairs and I could hear Jake crying downstairs, I finished up the FaceTime with Tessa and walked downstairs, I saw Jake with his head down on the kitchen counter crying, I walked over to him and rubbed his back, after a while he went upstairs to his room Alissa cane through the door with Anthony, we all ate lunch and then me and her practiced for the full moon tomorrow.

Tessa's POV:
I've basically been crying all day, I didn't want to talk to anyone there was suddenly a knock on my door, I opened it and saw Tristan with a box, he handed me the box and I looked at it, it was addressed to me, I thanked him and closed the door, I took the box to my bed and sat down, I opened it and saw a ring, there wasn't a note or anything attached to it, just the ring. I took it out and it looked really similar to my moon ring, I put it on and saw that on the bottom it had my initials on it, as soon as I put it on it glowed brightly and then went back to it's original golden color. I tried using it but it didn't do anything. I brushed it off and then got ready for bed, I crawled into bed and looked at my phone as I went to charge it, I saw a unread text from an unknown number, I opened it and it read:

That ring holds lots of power only activated by the moonlight of a full moon, it's extremely dangerous to dark mermaids, use it wisely and carefully.The ring allows you to drain the energy of others or give others or yourself energy from the moon.

I closed my phone and then went to bed thinking of the ring.....
