•Chapter 14•

Tessa's POV:
The boys walked in with Jake first and we all popped out and screamed "SURPRISE"! Jake was so surprised and shocked, everyone was hugging and talking to him and I went to grab a drink, I took a sip of it and it was really strong, we made eye contact from across the room but I just looked away, I saw Erika in the backyard alone so I went to join her, she smiled at me as I sat down next to her.

T:What brings you here?
E:I saw Chance talking to a girl and I got jealous.......what about you?
T:I guess I'm still mad at Jake for earlier....

We both took another sip of our drinks and laughed.

E:Hey Tess?
T:Yea?
E:I think we should trust Max and tell him the truth about what he asked us the other day...
T:Really?
E:Yea, I mean earlier he basically saved our lives with his elixir.
T:Yea I guess you're right...

We stood up and walked over to Max, we opened up to him about our real strengths and weaknesses and he thanked us, we grabbed another drink and saw Erika staring at Chance, I took her out into the backyard and we sat down, she still stared at Chance so I used my hearing power to listen in on Chance's conversation.

C:I'm sorry but no, I have my eyes set on someone special, she's actually over there in the backyard so if you'll excuse me I'll go spend time with her.

I smiled then looked back at Erika.

E:What?
T:You have nothing to worry about E!
E:What are you talking about?
T:You got yourself one of the good ones Erika!

She just looked at me confused then realized what I had done, she hugged me and thanked me, 10 seconds later Chance came outside and sat next to her, I got up and refilled my cup I looked around for Jake and I couldn't find him I took a sip of my drink before going up to his room, just before I walked in I could hear him talking so I listened in.

?:Come on it'll be fun and quick!
J:No I'm sorry but right now I'm trying to make things right with the girl I love and I can't do this to her.
?:She doesn't need to know!
J:That's just fucked u-

He got cut off by something so I opened the door a little and saw her slamming her lips onto his, he tried pulling away but she wouldn't let him, I busted the door open and pulled her off of him.

T:HE SAID NO!
?:NO HE DIDN'T NOW LEAVE ALONE YOU BITCH!
J:You do not want to mess with her just leave I don't want to kiss you or do anything with you!

The girl just rolled her eyes and threw her drink at me before leaving, Jake quickly sprinted to the door and locked it as I fell to the floor. I sighed and started drying up my tail, Jake grabbed a towel and helped me dry it, my tail soon disappeared.

T:Thanks.
J:Yea...

I stood up to leave but Jake grabbed my arm, I turned around and looked at him before pulling away from his grip and leaving, I finished my drink and got another one, before I knew it I was wasted. I saw Jake across the room talking to some guys and I set my drink down before walking over to him, he hadn't seen me until I grabbed his face with one hand he looked confused and then smiled at me I softly pressed my lips on his, he quickly kissed back and I could hear the guys he was talking to cheering. After that me and Jake went and danced before we went into the kitchen for a snack.

Erika's POV:
I walked into the kitchen with Chance to get some snacks and saw Tessa talking with Jake and I could tell she was drunk, I got closer to her to overhear her conversation.

T:Jake, do you remember that one time at the pool party when I passed out and you kissed me to wake me up?
J:Yea..?
T:This is really funny hahaha, shhhh don't tell anybody, but when you kissed me y-

I cut her off by covering her mouth.

E:Tessa don't!

I told Chance to take her up to her room, she started whining about wanting to party then I turned back around and saw Jake confused.

J:What was she going to say?
E:N-Nothing.....
J:She was gonna say something important
E:No she wasn't Jake!

I turned around and went to check up on Tessa, she was laying on her bed knocked out, I smiled and turned around to see Jake. I blocked the doorway and closed the door

E:What?
J:Can I not see her?
E:Not right now..
J:Why not?
E:Because she's not sober!
J:And you cant risk her telling me anything anything else huh?
E:Jake not right not!

I locked the door and cast a spell on it that kept him from entering the room until tomorrow, he was enraged and just stormed back downstairs. Everyone started leaving and me and Chance cleaned up before we went to my room, I closed the door and sighed.

E:Thank you Chance!
C:For what?
E:Being faithful to me, I'm so lucky to have such a great guy like you!
C:Of course babe!

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his gentle lips, he kissed back with more passion and well let's just say it was a magical night for the both of us!
