•Chapter 26•

Jake's POV:
The next morning we all gathered outside to eat breakfast, Erika and Tessa would occasionally exchange glances, after we finished I got up and got ready, I was on the bed on my phone when I hear screaming outside, I quickly run out.

E:CHANCE!!!

I look and see Chance being blasted off the boat by a gust of wind, Erika starts taking her shoes off but Tessa stops her.

T:Erika let me go, you're pregnant!
E:But Te-

Before she could answer Tessa dove into the water, she quickly grabbed Chance and helped him to the ladder, I helped him up and saw a bright light shining in the water, after a couple of seconds Tessa finally came out, she dried her tail and walked towards the room. Erika ran after her and I made sure Chance was ok, after a couple of minutes Erika came out, I went back into the room and saw Tessa.

J:Hey, are you ok?
T:Yea, just a little lightheaded but I'll be fin-
J:TESSA? TESSA WAKE UP!!!!

She dropped to the floor in between her sentence, I ran over to her and tried waking her up, I picked her up and laid her on the bed.

J:ERIKA!!

She came running in the door and immediately ran over to Tessa.

E:What happened?!
J:I don't know I walked in and she was talking then she just dropped! What's wrong with her?!
E:Jake I need you to go outside and I'll call you when she's awake.
J:No! Why? I need to stay with her!
E:Jake just go!
J:Fine....

I walked out of the room and sat on the couch with my head in my hands, after 5 minutes I heard Erika and what sounded like Tessa talking.

E:Are you going to tell him Tess?
T:No! Of course not, it'll break him so much!
E:At one point in your life you'll need to tell him!
T:I know, but that's not today....
E:Ok do what you want, I'm going to let him know you're awake...
T:Thanks.

The door opened and Erika walked over to me.

E:You can see her now.
J:Thanks.

I walked in and saw Tessa sitting on the edge of the bed looking sad, I walked over to her, her face brightened when she saw me, she got up and ran over to me, I embraced her in a huge hug, she pulled away and sat on the bed again, I walked over and sat next to her.

J:What happened to you?
T:Oh uh it was n-nothing....don't worry about it.
J:Tessa, how can I not worry about when you literally dropped down right before my eyes!
T:Jake calm down.... I'm sorry if I scared you but just forget it!
J:No Tessa, you've been so secretive and shady lately, you should be able to tell me anything, yet you keep so many things from me!
T:Jake what are you implying? That I'm cheating on you?! Because thats not what's happening here!
J:Then what is?
T:Oh I'll tell you what happening here! You have trust issues!
J:Well I have a reason to have trust issues! You go around sharing secrets with Erika but when I ask it's nothing important! So answer me Tessa are you cheating on me?!
T:Jake....
J:Answer me Tessa, please?
T:No. I'm not cheating on you Jake!
J:Then what is it? Is it about us?
T:Yes, it is about us, well it was, it's irrelevant now! I can't believe you actually thought I would cheat on you Jake!
J:Your actions said otherwise Tess what do you expect me to think, just tell me and maybe I can help Tess!
T:IT'S MERMAID STUFF JAKE YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND JAKE OK JUST DROP IT ALREADY!

Tessa's POV:
Crap.
I shouldn't have said that! His eyes filled with tears as I screamed at him and before I knew it he stormed out of the room. Erika came running in.

E:What have you done? He jumped off the boat Tess!
T:NO!

I ran out and looked overboard, I broke down crying onto the floor, this is all my fault! Erika came over to me and hugged me.

E:Calm down Tess, it's going to be ok..
T:This is all my fault, I should've just told him the truth Erika!

Jake's POV:
I jumped off the boat and into the water, as I landed I saw who I was look for.

Aquata.

J:You were right about her.....all she does is lie!
A:Come here my son, let's make thing right!
