•Chapter 12•

Logan's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes, Tessa and Erika transformed into mermaids right before my eyes, I instantly ran out of the house and drove to the beach. I was walking along the shore when this woman approached me.

?:Hello there Logan!
L:Who are you and how do you know my name?
?:My name is Aquata, I saw what happened back at Jake's house!
L:How do you know Jake?
A:He's my son.
L:No he's not you're psycho!
A:I need you're help.
L:With what?
A:You saw what Tessa and Erika are,monsters, they are dangerous, they are threats to humans, help me get rid of them and the others, once and for all!
L:Tessa and Erika aren't threats or monsters, they are my friends.
A:That's what they want you to think but it only takes the blink of an eye for them to snap and kill you.
L:You don't know them, they wouldn't do anything to hurt me or anyone else.
A:You are just as ignorant as my son!
L:Stop calling him that he doesn't want anything to do with you, he'll never even call you "mom"
A:THAT'S NOT TRUE YOU IDIOT!

She turns her hand into a fist and I see fire shoot out, I close my eyes and wait for it to hit me then I feel a quick breeze and open my eyes....

Tessa's POV:
We pulled up at the beach and I hopped out of the car, we saw Logan talking to Aquata, I turned around to Erika and Jake.

T:Stay here.

They both nodded and I crawled out from behind the rock, I ran towards Logan as I saw Aquata getting mad, she threw fire towards Logan so I quickly blocked it with a protection spell, i turned to look at him and smiled.

T:Are you ok?
L:Y-Yeah,thanks.
T:It's my job.

I wink at him before turning back to Aquata who keeps throwing fire, I throw a gush of wind towards her making her stumble backwards, I shock her with lightning making her fall to the floor, she starts laughing and then she looks up at me.

A:Did you really think I didn't bring backup?

Just then,a blonde,brown-eyed girl appears next to her, I look back down at Aquata and smile.

T:What makes you think I didn't bring some backup? 

I look back at Erika and she runs over to where we are, she holds up a protection barrier while I throw fire at the blonde girl, she stops it and turns it around making it rebound on the barrier. Aquata gets u and shocks the barrier, Erika falls to the floor in pain, I slam Aquata against a rock and help Erika stand up, before I could hit the blonde girl I hear Jake's voice.

J:Alissa?!
?:Jake?!

I look back at Jake and then back at Alissa, she suddenly dissapeared taking Aquata along with her. I turned to Jake as Erika helped Logan up off the floor, he instantly hugged me and I hugged back, I needed to know more about this Alissa chick, I wasn't jealous I just needed to know more about her. The ride on the way back was silent, I simply looked out the window until I felt Jake's hand on mine, I turned around and smiled before we pulled into the driveway. We all came into the house and we saw Chance pacing in the kitchen, relief crossed his face as soon as he saw Erika,she threw her phone onto the couch and then ran up to him, he held her tight and an actual tear fell from his eye.

E:Are you crying babe?
C:Yes, I thought you were gone or worse dead!
E:I'm sorry, I should've told you I was leaving.

She kissed him quickly before pulling away, I walked into the kitchen with Jake and Logan following me. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and sat on the counter I drank some water before putting it down.

L:Don't worry guys, I won't tell, and once again Tessa thanks.
T:You're welcome.
L:Who else knows about you guys?
